Darius Miles is becoming a much better player, so dosent it seem odd that a team hasent offered him a contract. I also havent heard about Portland offering him a contract either. please post if you know anything.
I heard something about him asking for a lot, I think thats why but he will surely deserve it in a year or two. Darius Miles is on his way up and he's not too old either just starting his 20's.
oh ya i heard about that. it all came from his agent though, he (his agent that is) was asking for 9 or 10 million a year.
yeah, it was his agent mainly... He's improved in the time since he was on the Blazers and I also think that he could be a very nice player soon. But he still doesn't desrve that much a year.... Does anyone think he will be able to get a spot on the all-star team?
Nah it'll be a few years if Miles was to make an allstar team...hes been nothing more than a career underachiever while showing vast flashes of potential...but he'll likely sign somewhere with a young team, I think Atlanta would be a nice fit, but no its unlikely he'll see minutes on a contending team...
i think that darius will stay with the Blazers because he said that he really likes the team. and if you read NBA Inside Stuff Zach Randolph garentees that the blazers will be a playoff contender in the 2004-2005 season. And i think that he is capable of making the all star team. He just has to prove to every body that he isn't a flop and that he's beter that players like Andre Kiralinko.(which he is)
Im pretty sure that Denver is looking into him they want him to be there SF and move Melo to the SG. Also the Knicks want him bad but I dont think they have the money but with Thomas as the GM anything is possible. He has not even close to 10 mil maybe try 4 mil per.

Lenard was their man last year... This would be their lineup with D-Miles: PG. Dre' Miller SG. Melo SF. D-Miles PF. K-Mart C. Nene Dang that is young...I think everyone on the team (except Miller) can do a 360 dunk
The Nuggets Said They Want Him But That Was B4 Tehy Signed Martain And I Dont Think He Would Start There And I M Rretty Sure He Can Play Yhte 2
The nuggets said they wanted him but i highly doubt that will happen. The nuggets are looking for a backup defnesive 2 gaurd. Miles is a offensive starter. But he is still a tremendous player id love to see him in a nuggets uni.
miles hasn't developed his game much since his 2nd season. He's considered uncoachable by some. He did look a bit better for a while in Portland but on the other hand he had promising streaks like that as a clipper--I saw that many times, and he would always slip back to the one-dimensional raw-athletic style he loves. I can't see him ever becoming an all-star unless he decides to learn the game. But with his athleticism he'd be useful as a backup on a contender like the spurs.
Although Miles did do well in Portland, well enough to get some support and some semi-promises from Portland. However, when the season did end, they lowballed him and he was somewhat offended. At the same time, as a restricted FA, Portland has stated that they will probably match the contract for him unless another team overpays him. Thus, he's in a semi-limbo - no one wants to overpay him and Portland wants to get him as cheap as possible. It's similar to the Stromile Swift situation in Memphis. There's still time, though. Some new developments/trades could come up.
I think the Nets should pick him up but there signing all the old player like ron mercer and eric williams. Why not sign Miles

First of all, it's Andrei Kirilenko. Secondly, ask any ten members of JBB, and I guarantee that there will be an unanimous decision that Kirilenko is the better player. For one, Kirilenko was an all-star last year, and Miles was not even on the ballot. Miles has been traded 2 times in his short career, and it's not because he doesn't have the talent; it's that he doesn't work hard enough to take full advantage of it. Miles, as of now, is an one-dimensional player who can only slash to the hoop. He doesn't have any range on his jumper, and also has no post up game. Kirilenko, meanwhile, was the only player last season to record a 5x5, meaning that he had 5's in all five important stats. Kirilenko can also rebound and hit the three, and he makes shotblocking and stealing the ball look easy. I'm not saying that Miles will not be a better player than Kirilenko in the future, but if you are going to compare their current success, I'd take the latter anyday.

Wow what a joke. 9-10 million for a guy who doesnt defend, can't shoot, doesnt finish any fastbreaks, has no post moves, has no handles, and doesnt understand the concept of team ball. Watching this guy in Cleveland for 2 years was painful. I really don't know why some of you guys think he's a good player and have him penciled in as a starter on some of the West's elite teams. He's extremly weak and soft. I can't believe Portland gave us McInnis for Miles. I have nothing against him personaly, there is just not one thing he does above average on the basketball court. He's terrible.

AK47 is 8 times the player Miles is. They arnt even in the same wavelength. There's nothing Miles does better then Kirilenko.
