<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stan Van Gundy:</div><div class="quote_post">Wesley Person has proven throughout his career that he is one of the best and most reliable shooters in this league. Obviously with Shaquille O'Neal in the post and Dwyane Wade penetrating, people are going to want to compact their defenses against us. We feel shooting is at a premium for us and today we signed one of the best shooters in the league.</div>Link Btw for those who care, 'Never Scared' (wade postering jermaine o'neal) wins the Miami Heat Sweet Sixteen Tournament

give him time to let his knees heal. He may say he's 100% so he can get signed if he choses that.

    what did you edit?

BTW why do you say Riiiight when i suggested something? You don't have to do it. It's just as any other prediction thread.

Do you have something against me?

Well first, I know Shaq is much more than an injury prone defender, but he is injury prone, and he does play defense. There's no argument against the fact that Shaq takes a lot of spills, so I've just been wanting the Heat to go after people besides guards.

And no I don't think last year's team is better, but they traded more than half or their starting lineup for 1/5 of their new starting lineup. That's two spots they have to fill, and all they do is add backup guards when it was shown last year they could get by with 3 (Dwyane, Rafer, Eddie). They're certainly not doomed, they're just not easy sailing to a championship. Thank you for your time. =)

I must of said this 50 times but Malone is good. A great defender in this league. Very underrated. We need defense so we should bring the Mail Man to South Beach. Karl Malone is a top defender in the league. I hope Rile relizes that.

All our salary cap exceptions are gone so we can only offer remaining free agents the vet's minimum. But Van Gundy says that with the signing of Wesley Person that the Heat are ready to enter camp with the roster they have now, but still welcome Karl Malone.

Yes, we realy need Karl Malone... although we have Haslem, Haslem's undersized so it'll be very tough for him to guard all the big men in the west for the playoffs... so yeah

Thats still no reason to give him the first 2 months off. If the organization wants him to rest, they will give him limited minutes. It's a waste of a signing to give him the first 2 months off unless he's still injured.

You posted three times in a row and I edited it down to one. Next time press 'edit' rather than create a new post.

Because this post made NO sense:
It would be interesting if anyone does the math how many MPG and PPG should the '05 heat and heat players have. Say heat score 100ppg and shaq 24ppg with 33mpg .... etc. So it should end up with 5 x 48 mpg when you add the 12 players up.

It had nothing to do with this topic, which is the signing of Person.

Nope, and if you think I do hit me up via PM.

What a great pickup for the heat. This guy came in second to peja two years in a row in the three point shoot out played well in memphis got lost in atlanta though. I was hoping the bulls would sign him this gives the heat a bit more depth one more signing now and I feel they can contend for a finals appearence with more of a chance to win.

From what I understand he's gonna be our clutch shooter, playing in critical situations of the game. Maybe he will start over Rasual?

    Yes

Wesley is a experianced veteran. He knows the game and is one hell of a 3point shooter. Rasual is good too, but you don't start a youngin like him over an experianced veteran who is capable of clutch shots.
