NO why would you give up Odom for Stojacovic no way Odom is such a better overall player he has point guard skills and is 6'10 no way.

Rather keep odom. Peja is just a shooter, a very good one but still, he doesnt do much else besides that. We already have someone like that and his name is rush. We dont have anyone on our team like odom. Not too many guys in the league can play positions 1 through 4.

I would rather keep Odom. Peja just shuts down in the Playoffs, plus I think Peja is being traded to the Nets.

He went with the Heat last year and did better then Peja did. Peja is an awesome player in the regular season but I have yet to see that in the Playoffs.

Peja sucks. hes a shooter, thats basically it, does he do any thing else? odom can run the point rebound, play d on bigger guys, posibbly run the four. peja blows

Peja cannot create his own shot, so therefore he'll be walking the perimeter all game, like George and Rush did last year. We can't trade off Odom for him...Odom can play pretty much any spot on the court and not have much difficulty...and plus, with Odom, we have size. Also, Odom's defense is better. Peja has a shot, I'll agree...and he's an offensive threat...but why do we need that?

Peja held it down last year during the regular season. But he's just a regular season player like everybodys been saying. We just traded for Odom and I can't see trading a player that we traded for that is a good player without even playing one game in a Lakers jersey. So no, I would have to say stick with Odom too.

Odom for Peja? Is that some kind of joke? In LA's dreams....They have a better chance of winning a Championship in the next 10 years than this happening!!

I agree there. Peja's one of the great offensive players ever period. But Peja's only good until it counts, just like T-Mac - he's a choke just waiting to happen. He'll likely end up like Glen Rice with the Lakers (play the first 3 quarters and sit out the last half of the fourth, since he chokes and is a big liability on defense). I'd rather have Odom who is much more versatile and fits rather well complementing Kobe.

Its all about fit and need in this situation imo, Odom is a better fit and more needed with this current Lakers team. With Kobe taking most of the shots, you need someone alongside him who can focus on creating shots for other people. And make plays for other people, thats what Odom is going to provide. And with GP gone the need will be even bigger for someone to take some of the playmaking load off Kobe.

The Lakers dont have any all-world perimeter shooters on their roster like Peja, but they do have their fare share of solid players who can make the perimeter shot, Rush, Atkins, Tony Bobbit, even George and Walton can knock down the perimeter shots. And most importantly their two best players Kobe & Odom can make the outside J.So the Lakers need for perimeter shooting isnt such where they would feel the need to give up one of their best playmakers.

What are you talking about think a little then post theese kind of remarks Odom is a lot better then Peja in all spots of the game except for shooting and we allready have a lot of shooters on our team.

Peja doesn't blow, and it would be a fair one for one trade. However, the Lakers have more need for Odom than Peja with their current lineup. The Lakers have a shooter in Rush, and have three solid small forwards with Odom, Butler, and George. I would argue Peja can create his own shot, he sets up a lot of his dribble penetration because of his deadly outside shot. One head fake and most defenders bite, he's hardly a stand still shooter. However, Peja needs a lot of shots to have an impact in a game, where as Odom can provide offense, rebounding, passing and defense.

Odom gives the Lakers much needed versatility in the front court, and is capable of averaging 10 boards a game. He has bulked up since his Clipper years, and is playing with a lot of confidence. Odom is also very young, and should flourish in the Lakers open court offense.

    I agree 100% with Shapecity.

I think it would be ridiculous for the lakers to even consider a Butler/Odom for Stojakovic. Ododom provides versatility, and Peja needs an offense similar to kings to perform. Don't forget, he's also only aregular season player.
