    The only way to look at this is to put both guys on a team by themselves...neither have a chance at making the playoffs, but Peja couldn't lead a team better than Odom. Lamar does't necessarily have to rely on another player to score, whereas Peja needs someone to kick the ball out to him for a shot. If you put Peja at halfcourt against Lamar Odom, 8 out of 10 times he will pull up for a three or a 20 foot jumper. Odom would beat him to the basket, he'd shoot on him...block his shot, steal the ball, etc...simple as that.

    Who in their right mind would trade Lamar Odom for Peja? Peja is IMO the most overrated player in the NBA today. He wants out because his boyfriend Valde Divac can't st picks up for him and he can't get open shots. Peja also cannot do anything by himself. WEll maybe he can shoot an open shot but thats it. Bibby and Webber were the leaders of the Kings and they were their best players. SOmeone like Peja cann not lead a team when Kobes out. The Kings are just out to rip someone off. They tried it on Indiana, they''l most likely try it again.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting MustardMan:</div><div class="quote_post">what are the differences between the ages, I know Odom is like 23 or 24 or something and Peja is at 28. To me that is the seal and deal of the trade. Cuz looking at the Lakers, they're not going to contend next year for a championship with the squad they put out right now so they're a team that people will be looking to harvest potential. With Kobe not yet at his peak, the team should be built on youth and Odom fits that. He can fit into all four positions. I would keep Odom and only trade him for Kidd cuz that guy is just flat out a difference maker.</div>

    Odom is two years younger than Peja, it doesnt matter

    Odom plays some really good D and can score. We've seen some terrific glimpses of him already during the summer olympics. I cant wait to see him partnered up with Kobe.

    yeah stojakovic is better by a little bit, i dont know about versatily compared to odom though but i dont think stojakovic would do good at long beach, kobes going to want to shoot a lot, but if he does go to la divac would get him so open shots as long as kobe, that would be cool to see stojakovic in la, i hope he improves his drioving skills and all the other skills, he would be crazy then.

    Odom clearly shows more verstatility with your stats comparison. So your point was not made. Infact, your point has less bearing now then ever.
    Peja avaeraged 24, Odom averaged 17.
    7 points of a difference.

    Odom leads in steals, he leads in blocks, he leads in rebounds.
    Peja shoots 5% better then Odom in FG's, and has a better freethrow and 3 point percentage. He also averages more minutes.

    So would you pick a one dimensional player who can shoot, yes, but can barely do anything else? Or would you pick a 6'10 point guard who can see the floor well, rebound, score, block shots, steal and pretty much do everything.

    Odom= more versatile
    Peja= Can shoot

    My pick= Odom

    And Odom's only getting better.
    Not saying Peja's bad but Peja's pretty one dimensional. I'd rather have a versatile player then a one dimensional one. It's like, would you rather have Marbury or Jkidd on your team? Kidd can steal, rebound, score and pass. Marbury can score and dishes when needed, that is all.

    All Odom has to do is perfect his shooting skillz and be more conistent with it to match up against Peja.

    Peja has to work on more aspects of his game to match up against Odom.

    Winner = Lakers if they hold on to Odom

    Peja King there was no point made their, all you proved is that Peja is a better shooter, we already knew that. I'd take Odom anyday.

    I think it really depends on the team's needs.. but I'd probably lean towards the shooter. But on a team with enough scorers, I'd probably take Odom because he doesn't need the ball to be effective.

    Peja leads in steals, he maybe leads in block but he average 0,89 bpg, this is poor for a PF, and its normal that he leads in rebounds he was PF

    ya and peja is a shooting guard and he should have more ppg and steals.

    i think you have to take in for fact that they do play different positions its not like kobe vs tmac
