Just predict anything. I'm interested to see how well people think the Rockets will do this season.

Predict how well Yao will do this season.

    1. San Antonio - Still the most dominant team in the West
    2. Minnesota - With Hassel going to Portland, Wally gets some needed minutes..
    3. Sacramento - Vlade is gone, but now Brad Miller can start, Ostertag off the bench.
    4. Denver - Though I think K-Mart is highly over-rated, he still can put up big numbers.
    5. Houston - As long was we have an understainding.. Lue + Mo + Boki + others = great bench.
    6. LA Lakers - If they resign Malone, they'll have Odom at the 3, where he dominates.
    7. Utah - Boozer + AK47 + Memo = Pure shooting big men + 2 great guards = success.
    8. Memphis/Phoenix/Dallas - This is up in the air.

I dont see the Blazers or the Hornets getting in, they havent given their team a face-lift.

Golden State has an outside shot.. I'd rank them 11th.

Playoffs (Oh yes, Im going this far..)

(1 - 8) San Antonio vs. 8th seed (whoever that is): SA, should have no problem with Dallas or Memphis, But i can see the Suns pull one back.. SA wins 4-0/4-1

(2 - 7) Minnesota vs. Utah: Minny will win, though an upset could happen: If Hudson doesnt recover, Spree' or Sam get injured. Minny 4-2

(3 - 6) Sacramento vs. LA Lakers: This will go to 7.. Whoever plays better defense, and if Odom and Butler step up.. Lakers win 4-3.

(4 - 5) Denver vs. Houston: Another series that could go to 7. Not being biased, Houston wins 4-2.

I'm not going into the Second Round.. but I dont think we'll get any further than the second round.

I dont know why I even went THAT far.. I was bored.. I gave you all something to read. But thats the way I see it. I dont see the Rockets in Contention for the title.. At best they'll get to the WCF.

This is just my opinion, the Rockets still need some chemistry and understanding of JVGs system.

I think the Rockets will place as the 4th seed this year and will make atleast the Conference Finals vs. either SA or Minnesota...we are adding the pieces of becoming a dominant team...2 huge scorers/stars in Yao and McGrady....a third proven scorer in Howard...and nice role players in JJ, Sura, Ward, Mo T and (possibly) Mutombo...all the ingredients necessary for a successful championship run are in place...

Tmac is going to be too greedy and he wont like it here either knowing it's Yao's team and he's the face of the franchise. They have no chemistry yet and no one can tell how there going to play together, and the western conference has changed with all the signings and the re-alignment.

43-39 is my prediction and they do make the playoffs with either 7th or 8th seed.

Does anyone really believe that Tmac will be a great team player with Yao being the center of the team? Unless they can work out a good relationship on court and Tmac passes the ball often to Yao and his other teammates, I do not see the Rockets going far. The chemistry still needs work and the team is still missing some holes so I say the Rockets might make the 6th spot in the playoffs at best.

Dood of course t-macs gunna pass....he came here knowing that Yao is the centerpiece of the franchise. He also stated that he would share the ball and work hard etc. basically saying he's gunna be a different player than last year.

I predict depending on matchups and Yao's consitancy a second round exit from the playoffs. Since they will probably face either the spurs or wolves in round two they dont have the team to beat those guys yet unless Yao setps it up big time.

Tmac wont be able to do <strike>shit</strike> out west in the playoffs ALONE. Like it is always shown come playoff time the pace slows down into a half court game if you have a dominate consistant 7'6 threat in your half court game there is no limit to what you can do. Though if Yao plays like shaq some nights in the playoffs and like Shawn Bradely other nights they cant win.

I also think they will still be looking to sign a unquestioned starting point guard or make a trade for one before the trade deadline Sura had three good games last year really only those three he had a triple double in. Then Ward is not starting marterial sort of like lue a good back up guard bad starter. Just ask NY.
