I read over the Free Agents list, and there are soo many good offensive lineman, defensive ends, and defensive tackles that Miami should consider trading for. Do you think they might make a trade for someone such as Orlando Pace, Joe Andruzzi, Matt Willig, John Abraham, Corey Simon?? I think they should...ive been a Dolphins fan for 12 years and i am not impressed with their offensive line or defensive line...if they had a solid line, i think they could be a dynasty. I also heard they may sign Edgerrin James?? As far as quarterbacks go...will they keep Feeley, or draft Rodgers? Or Sign Chris Redman?

    Welcome aboard fellow phins fan.

Let me add another name to the mix of possible FA acquisitions; Tommy Polley who played for Free Shoes U. I am sure the Rams will let hom go. Depth @ LB would help.

I would've said FSU grad but does any former Nole ever graduate?

Not sure why the pats would get rid of Andruzzi....he's locked up for a few years at affordable money so I doubt they would be looking to move him and also we signed Chris Redman not to long ago to compete for the backup postion next season....I also heard that Saban gave feeley a vote of confidence and he is going into the season as the starter.

depth at linebacker? We already have Junior Seau and Zach Thomas. Right now i think all Miami needs is an offensive line. I hate how NFL fans dont give the o-line the respect they deserve. The offense is all about the line...without a line their would be no running game or passing game. If they can get 2 big name lineman which if they dont, their managers are real "out of it"...they can motivate the other lineman, and there ya go...a better offense. But sure, id keep Feeley and i also heard they might sign Edgerrin James. Altho signing Cedric Benson might be good too..but they gotta make big runs for an offensive line...agree??

Seau will not be back, he is a sure salary cap casualty and Zack Thomas might be too....they have to cut $17 million in march and Fiedler and Seau will be the 1st $10mil of that....I think Saban will go young and build with the draft, I dont expect him to aquire a lot of vets through traqes or free agency, but i do think he will trade a veteran or two for more draft picks....

I agree you guys need some help along the O-line but you don't need big talent to do it....it is purely coaching...I mean look at the pats line...they have 3 undrafted free agents a 3rd rounder and a 5th rounder...they just need to come together

i NEVER blame the coaches for the mistakes. The coaches dont play, the players do. I dont know the San Diego offensive line, are they real good?? Is this offensive line coach going to make a big difference for Miami, u think?? I think its about the players. The players are the ones that play. Their just not strong enough, tough enough, or are not following the play correctly.

Sorry but I couldn't disagree more....especially when it comes to the offensive line and houch was dallas' O-line coach for years and had some great lines there and LT hasn't done to shabby out in San Diego and a good part of that is a solid line....I think you'll see immediate improvement regardless of players. It's just like how denver has undersized guys noone really wants but their scheme is so effective that anyone can step in a bang out 1,000 yards...and it was no coincedence that Atlanta became one of the top rushing teams this season after stealing denvers O-line coach...who's name escapes me at the moment....grrr I hate that but you get the point.

Coaching is huge!!! Scheme is huge....and Saban is right on with his comments this week about the Cap....for those that missed it, he said the cap restricts how many talanted players you can have but there is no cap on coaches, and thats where you can gain an advantage, so he went out and hand picked the offensive coaches he wanted and signed them to 3 year deals(O-Co Linehan and WR Coach Baggett from Minn, O-line Coach Houck from San Diego)....those are guys he targeted from the start and he laid down some serious cash to get them, atleast doubling their 2004 salaries....the Patriots don't have the most talent, the Eagles have way more....but the Patriots have had the top 3 coaches working together brilliantly for the last few years and its paid off, they win through coaching, scheme, and a cool QB that is never rattled....

Unfortunately for the dolphins, they may have coaches and schemes, but the Qb thing isnt looking good right now.

Other teams, namely the Patriots, had a small QB crisis on their hands before they found out what they had in Brady....Feeley needs to be given a chance with a whole training camp and a real NFL scheme, last here he was in an offense they got from "Coaching Offense for Dummies"....

so i take it that the new offensive coordinator for Miami (ex-Minnesota coach) was really good? And that the offensive line coach for San Diego, NOW part of Miami...is really good? I dont know, the only teams i pay attention to are Miami, and my hometown Washington Redskins.

Both are well thought of in NFL circles....Houck is considered a top 3 O-line coach and Linehan had success with a dynamic 1 back offense in Minnesota....Baggett is credited with turning Nate Burlson into a good WR and that may eventually lead to the trading of Moss in minnesota....I like all the hires because they replace men that were so out manned(Wise is the worst O-line coach in the league and Foerster was never given the freedom to co-ordinate an offense because of Wannstedts vanillaness)....

I wouldnt want Moss....Hes more trouble than hes worth....i really dont expect Saban to go after anyone that would be considered a famous football player this year....I expect him to stockpile youth and work from there....he may sign some young vets, but I doubt he will break the bank....for instance, they might pass on Edge, Alexander and Henry and focus on a guy like LaMont Jordan....When Belichick 1st got to the Patriots, he didnt sign the big names, but he signed a lot of role players, like Larry Izzo....years later, those guys are still there and winning Super Bowls....since Saban is a Belichick guy, I expect a similar plan....

why Lamont Jordan when they can pick up Cedric Benson?? The thing i like about Benson is he is young, fast, and kinda like Warrick Dunn...REALLY skinny fast guy. A guy like him has potential to become a top runningback. The only thing i see as a problem is, can you expect a player to play for one team his whole life?? What will happen if Zach Thomas or Jason Taylor gets traded away?? That would be a huge blow to the Miami team.
I guess i dont keep good track, but we used to have JJ Johnson, Karim Abdul Jabbar (runningback) John Avery, and Autry Denson...4 VERY good runningbacks...what happened to them?? Autry Denson was my favorite, he was really agile.

Speaking of College RB's, I really like Arrington of Cal and Kay-Jay Harris of West Virgina.

Just an idea, How 'bout getting rid of Derrius Thompson & getting Plaxico Burress who is a FA? New Miami WR coach (Baggett) was Plaxico's college coach.
