Webber came to the organization and, with the help of others, changed the team from annual jokes to a top-tier team. I'm not saying everything that comes out of his mouth is great, but damn, you guys are practically saying that you'd almost give him away for draft rights. How can you forget what he's done and been through with the franchise? It's not even my organization, per se, but this just seems totally disrespectful.
Hey Webber can still be a productive player, but his problem is his big mouth.he talks hella garbage, and makes the team look bad when he makes ignorant statements.Webber really has blown his last shot, but personally if he can't produce this year,i say goodbye and good riddance to C-Webber.
I'm not one of those people that really bags on Webber. I don't have a problem with him really, it was just too bad that he was injured this season.

its not a matter of what he has or hasnt done in the past for me, but what can he do in the future. and with two gimpy knees Im thinking not much. he has one season to prove that he is as good as he says he is. If it doesnt happen then its time to get rid of him. and currently, if something came along that ment getting a fairly good and young F then the Kings have to take it.
Geez, the guy who started this post seems to be the only one who gets it. Webber put the Kings on the basketball map, he did so much for them. It's going to be webber's team next year whether you guys (just fans) like it or not. You're not the one who has to put up with all the boos from people who call themselves kings fans. Chris Webber had an injury, stuff happens like that. Webber says his knees feel better and people who says he has only one season to prove it that's pretty low. So if he brings the kings the championship everybody loves him, but if he works hard and does his best, yet ends up short, you show him the door. The kings will go as far as webber takes them, not peja.

no i get it... the problem is you are not getting what im saying. no one is disputing what he has done for sacramento, but the facts are the facts and if his knees are shot (the only way to tell is by how he plays in the upcoming season) then its time to go... nobody plays forever, its a fact of life, and part of life is that there are times when you do the very best you cant, but its just not good enough. the fact remains that his knees are at question now, not anything that he has done previously. anyone that denies that is thinking with their heart & not their head. in all reality he may not be able to come back & be the player he once was. that combined with what he has been saying publicly is why im only giving him one season to prove it.
Like i have been saying in several post's is that Webber has at least one more year to prove himself to me,and i think Kings fans and the organzation as a whole. If Webber can remain healthy and have a productive season, than i'd like him to stay for years to come.but if he can't do that,i'm going to say that he needs to go,so we can give someone else a chance, but hopefully C-Webb can have a good year.
where's the loyalty people? i understand the "if he cannot perform then show him the door" stance from a business standpoint... but as fans, you have to appreciate what people have done for your team, and stick by them through thick and thin... people who wanna drive webb out of town just because he had 1 bad season, and those who booed him should not call themselves true kings fans... true fans take the good with the bad.
What I'm saying is, his mouth may run too much sometimes, but that's no reason to forget what he's done for your franchise...and is still capable of doing. If I had to choose between Peja and Webber, I'd take Webber. Why? Because of what he's done and can do. If Webber couldn't handle it as the "main man", I'd get him some help so, even at worst, he'd could be the 2nd scorer or inside force for my team. But you guys are like Janet Jacksons "What have you done for me lately" (when even in this years playoffs, he made his presense felt against the Wolves) instead of what you can do to get over the hump. Like I posted before, this years collapse was on Adelman's shoulders because he didn't pull the reigns and make Webber sit. Personally, I didn't like the fact that Webber wanted to come in starting (though I can understand) as opposed to respecting what his team had done in his absence.

I mean, no matter what player he is or what he has done, if he isn't doing good for a team, he's out. Now, I have no problem with him and I wouldn't want him to leave. But, if he isn't helping the Kings in the future, why stick with him? Because he's done good things for the Kings? Do good things bring wins and a championship?

Well,It's like this.C-Webb has been a contributing member of the Kings for a long time, but the past couple of seasons haven't been good for him.If he keeps being not so productive, what are the Maloofs and Petrie going to do.just sit there butt's on there thumbs and twiddle them around.No. What there going to be saying is if C-Webb can't make the Kings a good team anymore, than we need somebody that will, and now C-Webb is under the scope.so this year will be a make or break year for him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting harbingerofdoom:</div><div class="quote_post">its not the same thing.... KG has always been "the" guy in minny. Webber has not.</div> Maybe that was the problem. If they had catered to his needs, he could have continued to be the cornerstone. One of the things that made the Kings so respected was because they were so much of a team. Would they have reached the level that they had if they'd catered to Webber and put the reigns in his hands to win or lose? We'll never know.
