<div class="quote_poster">Quoting l2emix:</div><div class="quote_post">NO depth? with the addition of Sura and Ward we are a much much deeper team. Plus it is rumored that we offered Pike and some others to Chicago to get Mutumbo.I don't think we have NO depth...If we get Mutumbo we are pretty much set. R0ckets forever. </div> well I didn't even know you guys got Sura(good player) and Charlie Ward as I don't follow the Rockets and you don't even have MUtombo yet an might never so sit still the Rockets arint getting out of the frst round. Hey Flame s are you going to argue my point I made against you or just let other Rocket fans fight your fights for you.
As a Suns fan I even realize that this is a little far-fetched. I hope this would but you have got to realize that anything is possible in the NBA. I would be surprised if the Suns were 1-3 seeds. They do have a great nuclues, solid bench, great individual players. It is possible but not likely. Ace2K2, did'nt Amare rip KG for 38 points in his rookie year. I realize this is only one game but if I'm not mistaken Amare's numbers are very good aganist KG. In the playoffs two years ago wasen't it the Suns and Amare that Duncan struggled with the most. I think Amare can play with these guys and even though I don't think he is on their level yet, he will be very soon. Lastly don't blast a guy for his opinion. I wish my man Flames prediction is right so he can blast Ace2K2 he's just to negative and afraid to realize that the Suns are a legit team.
Man, I have seen some biased fans before but atleast they could be a little bit more in touch with reality. Flames, you expect a team that has just been slapped together (not totally, but they haven't had time to gel yet either) to win a championship? And you expect them to....did I read correctly?....SWEEP the SPURS? Be reasonable. This is the team that has won 2 championships in the past 5 years. Not only that, they are arguebly the best TEAM in the NBA with the addition of Brent Barry. Only 2 other teams come close in my opinion The Kings and the Wolves. The Kings usually choke in the playoffs but i think Wolves will give the Spurs a run for thier money. Denver is also good but inexpeirenced. I would be surprised if the Suns MAKE the playoffs first of all, and if they do, make sure you give your buddy a 100 dollars after they get knocked i nthe first round. They'll get past LA if they're lucky.....LOL @ sweeping Spurs. It's good that you have EXTREME faith in your team but be reasonable atleast. Yes, anything is possible in the NBA (see 99' Knicks in Finals) but odds are extremely against them.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">Also the reason i laughed at you for the sig is because the Heat arent even going to the playoffs and Shaq is way past his prime i mean look how a toe injury sidelined him. Also the threats i didn't mean to have houston as 2nd threat i agree the spurs should be there.</div> u just keep digging urself into a bigger and bigger hole to get flamed...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Buckets:</div><div class="quote_post">Minnesota Timberwolves: They are practically the same team but everyone has gotten better and they signed Googs, a veteran who's awesome off the bench. I saw them they got KG who was the MVP, Spree, Cassell, Hassell, and Szcerbiak off of the bench.</div> I agree with that. Despite Cassell and Spree being older, Szcerbiak should be healthy this coming year to pick up the maybe decline of their games. That's if their skills do decline a tad. 2nd should be the Spurs. After that it's a toss up cause of all of these trades and new personal.
Yup...I'm sorry...but....the original poster is wrong. I am a huge suns fan...HUGE. But, I live in reality. The suns will be lucky to get the 5th seed. This will only happen if Nash has a near career year and so do the other suns players. They will have to play serious team D to get that good of a seed. Plus, for them to go deep in the playoffs they will need some luck. For example: They cannot play TWolves or Spurs in the first round...They will be done. I think they can get to the second round if this doesn't happen.... But hey...I'm being optimistic
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">the Heat arent even going to the playoffs </div> LOL THat is the most stupidest idiotic statement I have seen on this site this far. THe Heat(with Shaq btw) arn't going to the play offs? LOL you truly are a biased little fan boy who hates on Shaq because he absolutley dominate your precious Suns who don't even have a center. Also your pansy little center Yao Ming on the Rockets who can't even average a double double and hes like 24 years old. PFFFFTTTT. Dude the Heat are much better than the Suns or the Rockets. And your not going to get any respect on this boards sayig something idiotic like that stement above. LOL im still laughing at your IQ based on that thing above. Everyone on this site who is sane should know the Heat are going to make the playooffs, most likely as a number 2 seed.

He can't right now but hes growing. Put him on a asscrap team and he will prolly b 25/4/12.
The Timberwolves. Cassell and Sprewell are not washed up yet, and Garnett is in his prime. They also got Wally Szczerbiak, who is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. That Trio and that special bench player is unstoppable and will lead the Timberwolves to 1st seed in the West with ease and win the championship later on.
Ok, so i've been gone for a couple weeks and I come back to find this guy Well Ace pretty much covered it but I cant resist repeating in my own words. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Reasons : Offseason signings adding Steve Nash and Quentin Richardson will factor incredibly in the points they get and helps the back court.Adding Quentin they get 17 ppg guarenteed + im seeing 6 rpg for him.Adding Steve Nash helps them with their scoring and assists catagory i see him getting 15ppg and 9.8 assists.</div> Quentin will factor incredibly? 17 ppg? Not a chance, not a chance. Nash would have to end up having a pretty great season to have 15 ppg and uh 9.8. (.8?) <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">1.The Minnesota T-Wolves have a great d thats been compared to the Detroit Pistons and have the reigning MVP of the league and 2 all star veterans.</div> OK, they are a huge possibility, but whats with the D? I'm a Wolves fan and I don't even say they have great D. It's only average at best, and your insulting Detroit to compare the defense. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">2.The Houston Rockets have the best duo in the Western Conference and the NBA too for that matter though if their is no chemistry they will be beaten.</div> Best duo? HIGHLY unlikely. Especially when the T-wolves can have KG pair up with Cassel OR spree and have the highest scoring duo. PLus, I think KG and Sam were the bets last year, right? If so they will easily repeat. I see Yao and T-mac doing about 40 next year, and that's VERY generous. So they wont have a chance in the West. In the League? What about Shaq and Wade? C'mon, BEn and Rasheed Wallace are probably a better duo! <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">These in my opinion are the top 3 teams in the Western conference that have a chance of beating the Phoenix Suns </div> What? A chance of beating the Suns? I'd love to see the SUns beat Minnesota or SNa Antonio! <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">T-Mac will be healthy and they will be the number 2 seed.</div> Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....NO! Any team besides the Wolves and SPurs can be fighting over 3rd or 4th or 5th, because those 2 have the top of the chrts. WTF are you thinking? That yao is going to average a tripple double and T-Mac is going to become MJ?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">Phoenix has the best supporting cast in the league and Sacremento isn't physical enough to win a championship.San Antonio has D but they can't score .</div> Pheonix has the best supporting cast in the league? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">yes it is sarcasm but i am sure that the Suns will win the championship this year in fact im so sure that i bet 100dollars with one of my friends that they would.</div> Congrats to your friend for his new 100$! Your sarcastic comment was funny, because in reality the Lakers ave a higher chance of winning that mnay games than the Suns do of winning a championship.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">It isn't sarcasm im from Houston so im thinking they have a huge shot at winning the championship but im realistic and Phoenix has a better shot at it.</div> That is just stupid. If I was a Magic fan I wouldn't put Francis+Howard = 05 champions, when there are 20 better teams for it, PLUS go say that another team is better. That's incredibly stupid. P.S. oh, and by the way next season is the 05 season, so they wouldn't really be the 04 champions....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Flames:</div><div class="quote_post">ok then heres a way to argue with your comment WAIT TILL THE SEASON STARTS IT IS MY OPINION TO PICK WHO I WANT TO FOR THE WESTERN CHAMPIONSHIP AND I PICKED THE SUNS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS WELL YOU CAN...I THINK YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO.Also the reason i laughed at you for the sig is because the Heat arent even going to the playoffs and Shaq is way past his prime i mean look how a toe injury sidelined him. Also the threats i didn't mean to have houston as 2nd threat i agree the spurs should be there.</div> oooh getting a little fiesty eh? Well instead of crying, just keep your idiotic opinion off the board, because we also have the right to have an opinion about your opinion.
Woe Flames, Heat aren't going to the playoffs? Haha, wanna bet!! Wow, that's nuts. But back to the subject: The Wolves and the Spurs are hands down favorites. Neither team did anything to distrupt what they had last year, and SA got a little better. They will be in very close competition for the number one seed, it will go down to the wire. In my opinion, either is good enough to beat whoever comes out of the East but the margin between the East and West is no longer as big as it once was. The Mavs will be seeded third with Sacramento fourth. Dampier will make the Mavs much more of a playoff team next year. Since the Mavs made so many changes, I don't see them doing it this year, but they are heading in the right direction. Sac is heading in the other direction, they are getting older and seem to have a lot of turmoil, the window is closing on them. So that's the top four. Below them, there are a lot of teams that could easily upset someone and make it into the second round. Phoenix (could be good), Denver (could be excellent), Utah (certainly will be good), Houston (very interesting), Lakers (stranger things have happened), Memphis (good but have they maxed out). Wow, it should be very interesting!
