I find it funny people are ranking the Rockets so high....I will BET any of you Rockets fans that believe the rockets will be in the top 4 or whatever that even the LaKERS will be a higher seed then the Rockets, guranteed. I'm guesisng the Lakers will finish around 5-7, but whatever they are, the Rockets will be lower. I donno what you guys are thinking, that Yao will all of a sudden be dominant as Shaq and that T-Mac will be clutch like Kobe? This duo will take atleast 2-3 years to completely flourish to the level that they can win a championship. They also need to surround these with more quality players. It's cool they have Juwan Howard and Jim Jackson but who else do they have that can really help em excel? They are not Shaq-Kobe level yet and I don't care how good Yao or Mcgrady are, the Spurs and T-Wolves still own the West as of now. Prediction- Tmac gets constantly injured throughout the season due to his back and at the end of this season starts complaining and whining again when him and Yao are having trouble communicating.

If tmac is true to his word (he will do anything it takes to win/make things work), then they have just as good as a chance as any body considering the talent they have. Yao is now the best center in the west, Tmac is considered by many to be the best SG in the league, and Jim Jackson is one of the most underappreciated and underrated players in the league. They add howard, still have taylor, and add sura and ward, and they are a major threat. More of a threat than the lakers, who outside of odom and kobe, have no one who has shown they can play at a high level on a consistent basis (and NO!!!, butler has now shown this, and don't base anything off potential, cuz Devean George was given a huge contact based on potential, and you all know how that went).
Hmm well i see how everyone thinks im biased about this but i truly think that the Suns have a legitimate chance at the nba title(as everyone in the Western conference does) i appreciate all your comments on this opinion but if you feel im wrong then i apoligize for what I said.

Arent we forgetting Duncan (although not really a center but plays like one)? and T-mac the best SG in the league? if so then why didnt he qualify for the Finals? I still think that LA is gonna be higher than Houston, Besides Kobe and Odom lets not forget Divac... he's a great passer for a center which can make Kobe's cuts a whole lot easier. and lets not count out Walton... i think by now he's experienced enough to play more minutes than last season. LA over Houston. period
first ill put the 8 spots in order I think they should finish in: 1 SA 2 Minny 3 Sacramento 4 Dallas 5 Phoenix 6 Houston 7 Denver 8 Utah/Memphis now, here is what I think is actually going to happen: SA or Minny is going to win the WCF & I'm leaning on SA. But we are going to have another confrence finals where the best two arnt there. I am thinking that because of their respective records, SA and Minny are going to meet in round two. Sacramento should make it to the WCF & get bounced in 6 Dallas is going to be out in the second round I dont think the Lakers will get into the playoffs this year, but if they do it will only be 8th seed.
^How is Sacramento still ahead of everyone, there the only team that didnt bulk up, Peja was asking to leave, now he's demanding it and he's pissed about the fact that the Maloofs arent taking him serious. Vlade Divac was the leader now he's gone and Ostertag will always be a down grade for any team. Webber is not and will probably never be 100% again. Ohhh. I see your a Kings Fan. Nevermind.

I think he is pissed at something (what it is, we can all guess about but at this point in time we really dont know) and he is using his trade demands to make sure the Maloofs will listen to what he has to say. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vlade Divac was the leader now he's gone and Ostertag will always be a down grade for any team.</div> A) Divac may have been the leader, but he was certainly NOT the entire team. there are other players there and he was by no means the best player on that roster. where in $%@# did you ever get the idea that Ostertag was going to start? Miller is starting at center and Ostertag will be coming in off the bench. The Maloofs and Ostertag himself said that he was not brought in as to score points. all he is there for is a large body that can make you change your shot which is something that he is more than capable of doing. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Webber is not and will probably never be 100% again.</div> Webber shot his mouth off about being the leader and how he was going to prove it on the court. ok, ill take him at his word and spot him his reputation. If webber shows up as he says he will, that will make the difference. Will it be enough? No, thats why I have consistantly said the kings will not win the Western Confrence series in the coming season. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ohhh. I dunno... I just have a feeling that they are going to surprise a lot of teams and that a lot of teams are going to be ready for denver.

But I dont hate the kings Bibby is one of my favorite gaurds, it just sucks that it looks like their team wont be competing to the fullest. Why would you keep Peja if he said he doesnt wanna play, if I were the Maloofs I say trade his ass and get something great depth out of it. He was an MVP canidate. Just my opinion.

Here is what I think are the top 8 teams in the league and the the only ones with any chance at a title at this point. It may change depending on the rest of the off season and regular season. 1. Spurs 2. Pistons 3.T-Wolves 4. Heat 5. Pacers 6.Kings 7. Nuggets 8. Rockets The Kings, Nuggets, and Rockets will most likely not make it, but They have a shot, NOt a very good one either. I would say Top 5, but anything can happen. What cannot happen is the /Suns winning the championship.

I'm still going with Minny being number 1 and SA being number 2. After that I have no clue. The Lakers and Rockets thing I'm not to sure which team will place higher. I'm a Lakers fan but can't state that they'll finish higher then the Rockets. I believed that the Lakers could win 52 games but it's so ify cause that's is tops. But I think Houston could win that many games as well so it's just so much of a toss this coming year it's to hard to tell.

Kobe may have been there physically, but his role was pretty much the same as tmacs against the pistons, doing nothing. As a matter of fact, i'd rather sit at home and watch the finals then to go and get D-ed up the way kobe did, and get criticized for his poor shot selection. So don't even go there. Thats weak. Divac is a center who knows how to pass, too bad the lakers aren't going to be a team that plays to his strengths because of a certain player they have who won't give him and his 30 minutes/game an opportunity to utilize it. Yes maybe I am a little biased but you are as well. Please respond to the other posts that I am waiting you to respond to. I really don't feel about talking to you about the Suns again. I have told you numerous times what my feelings on the Susn are. You know very little about the Suns. Also you guys are better then us at one position maybe two. Also just becsuse your starting lineup is good it does not mean that your team is going to be good. Who is good off your bench? Also Q will come off our bench and he is better then any 6th man the Heat have. I am going to name 6 teams in the West that are better then the Heat not including the Suns. 1. S.A. 2. Kings 3. Mavericks 4. Memphis 5. Denver 6. Houston Watch your tongue man. The Heat may not even be one of the top 5 teams in the East. Please I've told you many times why I beleive the Susn are better. Respond to this post and some of our other posts (arguements) on why the Heat are Soooooooooo much better then the Suns. 5th best team in the NBA???!!??!?!?!
