I remember before the trade happened all the Magic fans were saying T-MAC shouldnt be traded and that the deal was lopsided. Now it seems like you uys hink Steve Francis is the better player and that T-Mac is a bum
I always wanted this trade to go through. Even though I like tmac and all he wanted to be traded and this deal offered the most to us in return with the exception of the marion and amare for tmac trade which was never really a option since phoenix was not gona give up amare. I though in no way think tmac is a bum 2 scoring titles speak for them selves. You are right though this deal was lob sided a lob sided steal for the magic. Tmac is one great player you got two good players and a great charles oakly type defender in return for him. I think the rockets will do well with there team this year and we will do great with our team. It was a win win situation and I am happy tmac got traded.
I think that the trade was exactly what a trade should be: a transaction that equally benefits both sides. I think that the Magic are in a better position now due to the trade and have a lot of depth that they didn't have before. I continued to lose respect for T-Mac as the season came to an end and as a result, when he got traded, my response was "finally."

I just really wanted Tracy to stay with the Magics. Then it would be a dynamic trio, of Jameer, Dwight, And Tracy. Now that would be fun to watch.

I liked this deal, because like someone said it benefited both sides or did it??? Im sort of confused on this it benefits them and it doesnt because they have Jameer who can be a instant impact player but theres Francis, and Mobley hogging the starting roles therefore slower developing for Jameer and no ROY.
I was hoping he would stay because I thought he looked better in blue and with Dwight and Jameer they really could've been something. But now I'm happy he's with Yao in Houston.
I was always willing for the trade to go through. I think Steve will bring more wins, but T-Mac is more exiting to watch. I'd rather have Steve.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Einitials:</div><div class="quote_post">Just what I thought. This thread is filled with Tmac's haters.</div> Sure is naw j/p. I'm over him leaving Orlando i mean I still can watch my favorite player play, but he really didn't bring anything positive vocally to this franchise. Sure he brought some great scoring but he was on his own and obvisouly didn't listen in leadership classes, therefore he couldn't lead this team, but who could when all your team focuses on is for you to do every little thing?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Einitials:</div><div class="quote_post">Just what I thought. This thread is filled with Tmac's haters.</div> Most of you guys know I didn't even like T-mac when he was here in Orlando. After this season he proved everything I knew all along. Yes, he's a franchise player but he lacks the leadership skills and desire to take it to the next level. Now that he's with Yao Ming he's surely changed his tone. Suddenly he wants to 'be the best he can be,' and 'Have big things with Yao.' It's amazing, first he wanted to get out of Vince's shadow (understandable) but then he just stopped working to his fullest potential. And with Yao next to him he's suddenly ready to take charge and such. It's amazing - why couldn't he have at least attempted half the things he's talking about now. Thats what I've never liked about McGrady. All talk no action.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Einitials:</div><div class="quote_post">Just what I thought. This thread is filled with Tmac's haters.</div> I for one am not a T-Mac 'hater'. But Orlando right now has a better team than last year, and Magic fans should be over the loss of McGrady. As of now, their future and potential is much higher than it ever was with McGrady. And I'm even a T-Mac fan, so I'm not biased against him.
