In the amended deal, the Celtics have sent 6?8? forward Jumaine Jones instead of Banks to the Lakers, and no longer includes the Celtics second round draft choice.

Boston still receives Payton, Fox, the conditional first round draft pick and cash considerations.</div>

    Lakers give Marcus Banks back!?!?!?

Screw Mitch Kupcake. What a dumbass. The Celtics keep Banks and the pick and instead give us Jumaine Jones. What an idiot!! Kupchack you are truly an idiot. Banks was a PG for the future now we get Jumaine Jones? Just ffreakin great.

Doesn't anyone care? I can't believe this! GP screwed us! DAMN YOU GP!!

Jumaine's a good tough dude, but I have no idea why the Lakers are getting another SF. There has got to be another trade coming up or else I'm lost [IMG]

I'm kind of nervous about this trade cause it gives me the feeling that since we got a SF Karl may not be coming back. Ace Im like you I'm lost.

I don't really see what's wrong with it. Vujacic will now develop faster, and get some playing time.

Horrible trade now that banks was taken out. Mihm is not going to be a superstar or even a quality big man any time soon. Banks was the only one in that trade who still had the potential to do that. Atkins is good, but he is basically the same thing as payton a vetern that may get lost in the offense depending how you run it.

Now instead of you having a payton and kobe back court you got a atkins kobe back court. Is that suppost to be a improvement??????????? Then you got jones another small forward why when you got walton, george, and butler? Then you may resign karl malone and may have started him at the 3 because of odam so you basically got 4 small forwards along with rush who is a guard/forward. Bad trade we will have to see how it pans out though.

I agree with you completely. Banks was the only one with great potential that we got out of the move and now we dont even have him. Horrible trade!

Fox or GP probably failed the physical, or Fox may want to retire, so the Celts want to get Banks back, or else they would of informed the NBA, and they could of nixed the trade.

anyone got any links that verifies this?

i cant believe the Lakers would do that, what are they thinking?? Banks was the key part of the deal and would've been the Lakers PG of the future, and they want Jermaine freakin Jones instead?? Now, it doesnt look like such a bad deal for Boston at all...

More proof why kupchak is a complete moron. I didnt even like the idea of trading GP in the first place for those guys we got. Now he gives the best player we got out of the deal right back to boston, so basically now we traded GP and a first round pick for 3 nobodys. What puts the icing on the cake is he gave back banks and took yet another SF instead, when we already have about 100 on the roster already. Great job moron.[IMG]

You Laker guys sure do get the latest news up and running. Big ups to you fellas. [IMG] But everybody that's willing to bash Kupchak now that Banks isn't involved in this deal anymore is being ridiculously impatient. Who's to say Banks would be some spectacular starting point guard or sixth man in this league? I myself have never heard of Marcus Banks since the deal went down weeks ago, so in my opinion, they can have him back. With some nice performances of Vujacic's summer league games in the past, I'd already be content with Vujacic as our sixth man. Jumaine Jones, on the other hand, wouldn't fit into the Laker system. We're already stacked at the small forward position with Odom, Butler, and Devean George if he does get off the I.R., so where would he find some PT with Rudy's offense? It would be a huge headache.

Unless there's a Jason Kidd consideration in the making, and somehow someway we don't get Kidd to benefit ourselves in this massive overhaul of transactions, then that's when we should bash Kupchak. [IMG]

I'm devasted with this. Since we didn't/don't have a legit shot blocker in the paint, I was looking forward to having Banks denying penetration...but now we just have an excess of SFs and no depth at the PG.

Mitch better have an ace still left in his sleeve.
