I was thinking...and pretend you won the lottery and you had a choice between Yao and Lebron ...both in the same draft, Who would you choose? and why.

I would choose LeBron. Since he's the more versitile player. I know Yao is big and all but it takes him soome time to improve. Lebron just comes right out. So LeBron is my pick.

King James hands down. No disrespect to Yao, he can play too but LBJ is a whole different story because he's younger, more explosive, more versatile and has a built in highlight reel so he's going to sell tickets.

The Bron. He's already a hall of famer in my books while Yao can only improve.

I love Lebron, but I gotta go with Yao.
a 7'5 dude with major upside, that's what wins in this league.

this is tough.... if were building a team to win, i'd take yao.... if i were in it for profit.... lebron.... so in other words, if i was running the spurs or wolves, i'd take yao.... if i were donald sterling, i'd take lebron

Definitely Yao because big man have more potential, such as tim duncan, kevin garnett, shaq. The big man is the center of most the teams and it take a good big man to take you to the championship.

LeBron in a heartbeat. Ming is gonna be a great player, but LeBron is one of those type of players you only see once every 15-20 years.

I'd take Lebron in a heartbeat. Don't get me wrong, because I love Yao and think he will be THE dominant center in the league in a couple years.. But Lebron is a once-in-a-generation thing. He will sell tickets, put your team on the map, and has potential for true greatness.

hmm, that depends on the situation of "my team".
If I've got a team like the Sixers/Raptors/Lakers(with no shaq)/Sonics, Yao will certainly be my choice. But if I've got a team like the Spurs/Timberwolves/Heats(with shaq), LBJ'll be perfect.

For myself, I love both of them.

I would choose Bron because hes simply the better player and is going the better player. He has the potential to be a top 5 player of all time. Yao is going to be a great, dominant center but, LeBron is going to be one of the greatest players ever imo.

I'd go w/ Yao just like someone said above, a big man is way more important and coveted in this day and age. There aren't too many around and when they do come around you have to jump on them. There will always be impressive shooting guards with skills to go around.

How is this even arguable? LeBron hands down. He didn't average 20-5-5 at age 19 for nothing, and the scary thing is hes only going to improve. LeBron has the potential to be beter than MJ himself. Yao will never win a mvp in his life. Hes already 24(Sept 12) and he cant even average a double double yet. Every great big man has averaged a double double in their rookie year. Yao didn't do it in his sophomore year. ONly exceptions are high schoolers. Yao will be good but not great. LeBron won't be great, but he'll be a legend.

    Isn't this question obvious enough.

    LeBron is MJ reincarnated.

Big guys are hard to come by, gotta give it to Yao. This is like the whole Kobe and Shaq deal, it all comes down to who is it easier to build a team around.

HAHA...LeBron doesn't even have the grace of MJ...He's good and all...but he seems all sloppy...His dunks are just explosive...the pics aren't that pretty...His ball handling looks weird...

Maybe it's his body frame, built, etc....he doesn't look like he's floating.

Now Kobe Bryant...he is MJ reincarnated. I got pics...Ill show u later.
