This guy won the Nike Battlegrounds and was supposed to get a try-out with Mike Dunleavy. Is there any word or update on this? I tried to find info on search engines but came up with nothing.
I was wondering the same thing myself. Also, I didn't pay any attention to his height, so how tall is he? I was thinking that maybe some of these guys were being held back because of their height, but in the end I began thinking of the whole contest as a complete joke. King of the World? Where do they get these guys? They just had a completely random group of nobodies.
I think they said he was 6'8" and also i think this guy plays in France, but i'm not sure. They have the slam magazine editor guy right? or former senior editor or somethign, on show-Scoop Jackson. edit- Found a little bit, he played on Le Mans in the french league, and was their leading scorer. Hollis price the former collegiate standout was on the team. But i couldn't really find much other than that, and i've kind of gotten bored of looking on google and such about him. So, feel free to look up more. As for the clipps i don't think they gave him any try-out, or if they did it was very minor and he didnt' impress because he wasn't on the summer league team.
He is 6'7 and I really don't think any of those guys are NBA caliber type players. Plus I was also thinking that these guys are just playground ballers and probably haven't played team ball that much. But on the other hand I do think Sy would be the most prepared due to his euro-league career.
I sure hope that they don't sign him. We don't need another raw player to sit and take up space and money.
