The Sixers had or should I say so far had a pretty decent off-season. And like all fans, sometimes we never seem to be satisfied with the team off-season transactions. So what would be some moves that you?d wish happen this off-season. <font color="darkred"><font size="1">(The whole purpose of this thread is putting yourself in the GM shoes. And make transactions that YOU would be happy with. To make it more enjoyable you can exaggerate some moves, but don?t go overboard and say that you would trade Brian Skinner for Shaq. Also, don?t get too caught up with salaries, contracts and such. Just have fun. (Hopefully)</font></font> You can either start off with 03-04 Sixers Roster (Snow, Coleman etc?) or the Current Sixers Roster (Williamson, Iguodala etc?) I?ll begin with the current roster 1st Move: Trade Aaron Mckie and Kyle Korver for Jason Terry 2nd Move: Glenn Robinson for Jim Jackson 3rd Move: Marc Jackson for Joe Smith 4th Move: John Salmons and Greg Buckner for Speedy Claxton 5th Move: Sign Keon Clark 6th Move: Waive Kedrick Brown <u>Sixers Roster</u> PG- Jason Terry SG- Allen Iverson SF- Jim Jackson PF- Kenny Thomas C-Samuel Dalembert <u>Bench</u> PG- Speedy Claxton SG- Willie Green SF- Andre Iguodala/Corliss Williamson PF- Keon Clark C- Joe Smith Brian Skinner <u>Reserves</u> Kevin Ollie BTW, to avoid confusion, click the link below to view the Sixers Current Roster. Nice way to try and get the Sixers froum pumping Avery Move 1: John Salmons and Kevin Ollie to the Rockets for Bob Sura  Move 2: Glenn Robinson to the Mavericks for Micheal Finley Move 3: Corlisss Williamson and Kyle Korver to the Lakers for Caron Butler Move 4: Sign Keon Clark Move 5: Marc Jackson and Greg Buckner to the Spurs for Malik Rose Move 6: Trade Keon Clark to the Cavailaers for Lee Nailon Move 7: Sign Mikki Moore Move 8: Waive Kedrick Brown My Sixers roster Starting Line-up PG- Allen Iverson SG- Micheal Finley SF- Caron Butler Pf- Kenny THomas C- Samule Dalembert 2nd String PG-Bob Sura SG-Willie Green SF-Andre Igoudala PF-Malik Rose C-Brian Skinner Wild CArds Aaron Mckie Lee Nailon Mikki Moore
Not that bad of a roster. However, that?s too much of an offensive minded backcourt, also including Caron Butler. I think they would have trouble sharing the ball. Iverson would want at least 25 Shots, while Finley will settle for around 15-20 Shots and Butler would probably want at least 10 shots. So that wouldn't leave anything for the big men and the bench players. But that's a pretty creative team you got there Ace2k2. Anyone else...
IM also going to start with the current roster. 1rst move:Trade Glen Rob,Marc Jackson, and John Salmons to the Suns for Shawn Marion. 2nd move:Sign Keon Clark 3rd move:Sign Darius Miles 4th move:trade Darius Miles and Corliss to the Nuggets for Veshon Lenord and Earl Boykins. Starters C-Samuel Dalembert PF-Kenny Thomas SF-Shawn Marion SG-Willie Green PG-Allen Iverson Bench C-Keon Clark PF-Skinner SF-Iguodala/Kyle Korver SG-Lenord/Aaron Mckie PG-Earl Boykins
I really like that bench team Silky Smooth. But that one weak frontcourt bench, but still a good roster nonetheless. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Trade Glen Rob,Marc Jackson, and John Salmons to the Suns for Shawn Marion.</div> Since, Shawn Marion is rumored to be on the trading block, I'd wish that deal went down.
Move 1 Trade Glenn Robinson and Marc Jackson to the suns for shawn marion Move 2 Sign Keon Clark Move 3 Trade korver, buckner, and skinner for c-webb and bobby jackson Move 4 Sign Darius Miles Starting lineup AI Willie Green Shawn Marion Chris Webber Keon Clark Bench Bobby Jackson Arron Mckie Sam Dalembert Kenny Thomas Iggy Darius Miles williamson salmons ollie brown
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Silky Smooth:</div><div class="quote_post">Thats a bold move at starting Keon Clark over Sammy D can you elaborate why,I'm just curious.</div> It would be just for the first half of the year to give sammy some more experence instead of tossing him straight to the lions since we would have a guy who has had starting experence at that opsition in clark he would also be a better defender at this point in his career and having him over sammy would give us great depth from the bench and allow us to increase sammy's minutes little by little since he is not use to playing long term minutes it would help him avoid injury.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pure Skillz:</div><div class="quote_post">Move 1 Trade Glenn Robinson and Marc Jackson to the suns for shawn marion Move 3 Trade korver, buckner, and skinner for c-webb and bobby jackson </div> I'd love for these trades to go down. THe Shawn Marion one is possible as they are looking for a center and then Glenn can almost replace Shawn Marion for this year. I doubt it though. THat Chris Webber one is the biggest piece of ********* I ever saw.

Salaries aren't even close, and the two best players in that deal are heading to philly. This does not benefit the Kings at all. Sure they want to get rid of C-Webbs contract, but they have to get something in return, and korver, buckner and skinner don't make a 1/3 of what BJax and C-Webb do. If I were a Sixers fan (which I am not), my first priority would be looking for a taker on Big Dog, and move #2 would be looking to trade Marc Jackson away.
