Freddie Mitchell is TO's backup, that means that hes responsible for replacing everything TO brought to them....he cant bring it on the field, but he can off the field....Kudos to Freddie Mitchell for playing the TO role perfectly and insighting the Patriots....
Freddie Mitchell is like every other former UCLA player. They are drafted high, but they don't do anything in their pro careers. Anybody remember Cade McNown?
i read the article befroe i saw this forum. holy shit this is a jerk, hes gonna get busted around by the Pats secondary. i think he'll catch 2 MAYBE. He has no right to say a thing hes a freakin backup. TO is TO he has the right to say he can dominate someone cause he probably can. Mitchell, WHAT?
Another comment blown out of proportion. He was on Silver Spotlight and he just didn't know the Patriots' secondary's name and he said I got somethin for Rodney Harrison. Immediatly following it was the Pats talking crap too, but since they're so amazing it won't bother them of course
Mitchell is an idiot. I hope the Patriots make him look like the idiot he is next Sunday. Which they will.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrianWestbrook)</div><div class='quotemain'>He was on Silver Spotlight and he just didn't know the Patriots' secondary's name</div> If he doenst know everything there is to know about every defender on the Patriots, then hes unprepared....He should know the names, the numbers, their heights, their weights, where they went to school, their favorite color, their moms name, their 40 times at the combine, their vertical jump, basically everything there is to know about them....the difference between a good pro and a bad pro is that attention to detail....People wonder how a guy with so much physical ability could be teetering on the brink of being a bust and this is how, he doesnt prepare like a pro so he doesnt preform like one....it boils down to Freddie Mitchell being a theif....hes stealing a paycheck....and hes not alone, somewhere theres an assistant coach that has failed him and the rest of the team....he should have watched so much film by now that can spout facts about those guys for hours....damn it pisses me off when a young talented player just doesnt get it....
I don't think its that big of a deal. On Beef's comments (him not knowing about the Pats) Now thats a big deal. A WR should know all about the DBs he is going up against.

Maybe, it was only on silver spotlight. The only reply I heard & probably everyone else was Willie McGinest's who handled it w/ class & professionalism. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (N_Burleson4life)</div><div class='quotemain'>Freddie Mitchell is like every other former UCLA player. Rodney Harrison - "If Freddie Mitchell was on this team, I'd retire" That's the last that I heard, but they act like they're gods or something. I think it's hilarious how ESPN is acting like the Eagles WR's have to know their names or something, that's just stupid. If anyone honestly agrees with that statement, I highly doubt you've ever actually played organized football beyond the pee-wee level. Let me give you a simple fact about the jerseys in the NFL. The names are on the back, but the numbers are on both sides. When a DB lines up to cover a WR, or in almost 99% of the plays he will be facing the direction of the WR's, YOU CANNOT SEE HIS NAME! His name means absolutely nothing, all Freddie or any WR needs to know is their number, and how that player plays the game. In case any of you have seen a Patriots game lately, I'm not too impressed with the Patriots' secondary's class. They're such an amazing dynasty that EVERYTHING they do is righteous and good, oh please. Every freakin' time Rodney Harrison tackles someone he puts his hand on the back of their helmet and shoves their face in the dirt, steps over the guy, or knocks the ball out of his hand after the play is whistled dead. The secondary does everything they can to get under the other teams skin, but I forgot that since it's the Patriots thats just another part of Belichecks genius (let's see how smart the guy is next year without his coordinators coughCleveland2cough). Two words for the NFL concerning the Patriots; HOP OFF
Bottom Line: What mithcell did was stupid. He is a MORON. It was one of the dumbest things done in the history of the super bowl. When Barrett robbins disappeared for a day during super bowl week, not as dumb as this. Patriots thrive off the disrespect they think they are getting. Before he opened he big fat stupid moronic mouth, they had no real disrespect to fire them up, now they do. He had absolutely nothing to gain from talking, and declaring himself the dumbest, stupidest, most retarded person on the planet, and everything to lose
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (J-E-T-S 1083)</div><div class='quotemain'>i love how eagles fans are defending his comments. lol hes an idiot</div> lol.. i find SOME of the things he says pretty funny

People talk crap you have to deal with that especcially when you are a football player. And freddie did not do anything do i have to remind you about 4th and 26 or about his 2 tuchdowns against minesota. He is pretty good but not good enough to be calling rodney harrison out. But some of the stuff he says are funny.
HARRISON doesn't need any provoking from a WR. freddie should know that and should learn from the other players who have called out the secondary. they don't need any modivation to play the game hard and ruff. i am glad that he opened his mouth before the game and said something stupid. i can't wait to the pats to hit him. he should have waited until after the game and said something if he played well. oh well go pats...

With those kind of numbers, in just 4 seasons, he has certainly earned the right to talk shit to all-pro defensive back.
