actually the "atlanta" pick they have is origanially from philly like already stated... anyways mullin scheduled a press conferance for tomarrow and hopefully we will find out the protections and years on these picks...
It's been officially anounced that Dallas signed Damp to a seven!!! year 73 million dollar deal. What's Dallas thinking? The guy is 30 and has produced one season with solid numbers. Guess nobody will be laughing at us anymore for the Foyle deal???
Damp has never been consistent until last year. Even so, he cooled off after his blistering start. There were some games when he single handedly got the W's a win. But think about the other games he didn't do anything. Is he worth 73mil and for 7 years? I don't think so. Even so, Damp still overvalued himself. He's lucky Mark Cuban is concentrating on The Benefactor and just signed the check instead of looking at the name he was giving the money too. In 4 years, I doubt Damp will be on the Mavs. or even playing at that point.
surprisingly to know....DAMPIER IS ONLY 29. As it turns out players 30 or over are only allowed to sign up to 6 year contract while players under 30 can sign for up to 7 years.... nba.com has him listed at the wrong age, he just turned 29 a while ago...i think he is a couple months younger than foyle...
najera and mullins quote's on this trade: http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/Eduardo_N...hris_Mulli.html
Good luck Damp. Its time to move on fellas. We have a solid team that if it can learn to play together well will be in the playoffs this year...
