Iguodala: The Next Pippen?

We wont know if AI is as well rounded as Scottie Pippen until we see how is on-ball defense is on the NBA level. Scottie Pippen on-ball defense was the center of everything he did, its what made him so verstile. You could play him at multiple positions because he could defend those positions and defend them well.

 

It's too early for me to tell personally.

I agree, it's way too early and we need to give him at least 2-3 seasons to make a comparision like that. Plus, I hate early comparisions because they are always so off is ridiculous and never wind up happening. Why, can't he just be the next Andre?

 

Pippen is better

 

It is way to early to tell, when Iggy starts bringing home some championships to Philly along side of A.I then we can make the comparison.

 

He's been compared to Scottie Pippen at a collegiate level, but its yet to be determined if he would be able to succeed to the expectations at an NBA level. We could make somewhat of a prediction whether he could be the next Pippen or not in his rookie year, but it's by far too early to make any judgments.

 

No way can compare him to pippen at this point you have no idea how well his nba game will be also he doesnt not have a long range game while pippen did and was probably one his biggest trade marks. A lot of people have been compared to pippen jefferies from the wiz was yet he has not shown any promise yet, Salmons was when he came into the league yet he has yet to develope, and now Iggy will not even be compared to pippen if he cant get his three going.

 

Pippen is one of the 50 greatest players of all time in the NBA. No disrespect to Iggy I like him too but Pippen did so much in his career all the championships and his amazing defense and versatility is what made him Pippen, Iguodala hasnt even played an NBA game so you cant judge already.

 

Iggy could end up as the next pippen or the next darius miles. It is way too early to tell anything.

 

Im not sure on this pippen was great..even better then jordan alot of times if you watched some of the old games...so i will wait and make my prediction.

 

Well, it depends on how you are comparing them two if you are comparing how what they did in there career then obviously not, But comparing the style of players both are, Then you can they have very simmiler body types and also both have great passing skills and both also have great defense just looking at the talent thats what I get out of it.

 

They are similar players,but its not right to compare Iggy to Pip right now.

First off Pippen had a better jumper so once Iggy gets a consistant jumper and starts to evolve offensivley then I think in the future he could be considered as the next Pippen or maybe even better.

When it comes down to defense and athleticism then I think he could be compared to Pip.

 

Of course Iggy isn't as good as Pippen is right now. Their game styles are very similar. I dont think Iggy will ever be as good as Pippen but he'll be pretty close. Ai and AI2 will be a nice duo in 2 years. Too bad Iverson will be old before Iggy reaches his prime. Pippens shot was also much better than Iggys. They are both very versatitle and athletic. When its all said and done Iggy will be very comparible to Pippen.
