Are you kidding me. Even at 41 Malone draws respect for his defense. The guy is a tank.

Not in all cases. Respect and intimidation can go hand in hand. People respect Malones ability to defend the post and he still is an intimidating force on the court. The guy throws a elbow and I guarantee someone will get hurt. Dont tell me Malone doesn't intimidate on the court.

MJ was respected for is offesive prowness and he intimidated defenses. Malone is still capable of doing that. I think most of the NBA still respects Malones game and players are still intimidated by Malones strengh on the court.

    Rudeezy-

Did you see Malone in the playoffs? He took Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett out of their games.

For periods of time, Malone didn't let Duncan make a field goal for 17 straight minutes.

He used his body and his veteran tricks to slow up the MVP Kevin Garnett as well....even on a hobbled leg.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatthef?:</div><div class="quote_post">Since Mitch is on vacation this is the perfect time to complete this deal. Banks and Payton are gone, Atkins is the new Fish and Sasha needs a mentor. First we get Malone to commit, then we trade Grant, D. George and any of the small forwards they want to the Nets for J Kidd. The salaries would work and the Nets would get cap room next year, we get a legit point guard and another run at a title. How about this line up:
    pg----Kidd
    sg----Kobe
    sf----Odom
    pf----Malone
c-----Vlade CAN YOU SAY TITLE # 15? [IMG]</div>i like the title [IMG]

if kidd came to the lakers that would be too hot for the rest of the league.

the first thing we would need from Kidd is a trade demand

Its not a hard concept to understand.

He didn't even attempt to play on his 'hobbled leg' against the Pistons, which was the point I was trying to make.

Not bad, and it works with the RealGM Tradechecker, however the Lakers wouldn't be a very deep team. Their lack of depth finally caught up to them against the Pistons - and they would have to add some solid bench players to be considered a top contender.

In the case of Malone, he is a player who still uses intimidation and sheer power to overwhelm opponents. When Malone cant do this anymore, Im sure he'll retire.

Now Reggie is a player who still commands respect, but doesn't intimidate anyone anymore. He is basically in the twilight of his career. Malone on the other hand can still throw elbows and kick peoples asses on the court.

    Jumaine Jones-sucks
Grant-good rebounder and solid defender, but bad knees
Atkins- is a pretty good points guard reminds of a lesser billups
Mihm- tall, dont know much about him
Butler-had a great rookie year, almost as good as Melo and Bron, but was injured most of last season

    Kidd's List Includes The Lakers

Reports indicate JKidd's list of teams he will agree to be traded to includes the Lakers. C'mon Mitch, let's get this done! Grant, George and any small forward they want except Butler can be on a jet to Jersey in 30 days.
Kidd, Kobe, Karl, Lamar and Vlade means Rudy T is coach of the year and the Lakers get title # 15 [IMG] [IMG]

But Kidd wouldnt be anywhere near as good as he is in 2 years. His legs won't let him.

I still wouldn't mind seeing the guy in a Laker uniform. As long as we dont lose too much. Kenyon Martin for 3 draft picks? Kidd for three draft picks? LOL. Oh too much alcohol today. haha
