What's new on the JKidd trade?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatthef?:</div><div class="quote_post">Reports indicate JKidd's list of teams he will agree to be traded to includes the Lakers. C'mon Mitch, let's get this done! Grant, George and any small forward they want except Butler can be on a jet to Jersey in 30 days.
Kidd, Kobe, Karl, Lamar and Vlade means Rudy T is coach of the year and the Lakers get title # 15 [IMG] [IMG]</div>

Has anybody out there heard anything new on this trade? How are Kidd's knees after his surgery? Is he working out anywhere? LA? With Magic? Is Joumana shopping for a new home in the Hollywood Hills or Malibu? Has he made a demand to be traded? Can Mitch or Jerry actually see how big an impact he would have on our 15th world championship?

Yea, I know. I don't want this to turn into a Red Sox thing where the Yankess went and took A-Rod. JKidd is one of the best pointguards int he league, if not the best, he should go to the lakers sooner before the Nets do soemthign else.

Well, Kidd would want to take it easy after this surgery...Kidd is probably the least selfish player in the league anyways, when he IS healthy. So I'd expect alot of nice dishes to Kobe and Odom...it would work out just fine, and also, Odom has PG skills himself. This team would be nice throwing passes back and forth, it would confuse the defense and stop any zone dead in its tracks. When the other team has to rely on man-to-man, it's over...Kobe is probably one of the best one-on-one players in the league, and Kidd isn't so bad himself. Odom can hold his own...it all works out.

This move could work out,but i'm worried about if Kidd were to join the Lakers, the possibillty of Egos clashing with one another.i hope this isn't the case,as the Lakers don't need another Shaq-vs-Kobe story. [IMG]

Kidd doesnt have a big ego unlike Shaq. this how i see it..

Kobe (selfish) + Kidd (unselfish) = title #15?

Kidd is a pure point. He scores big when he has to and distributes all the time. He is very unselfish. i dont see any head butting

Over Jason Kidds years in the NBA he has been a proven passer, not scorer.

Over Kobe's Years in the NBA he has proven to be a scorer, and not a passer.

Jason Kidd has a small ego and, IMO, would not mind playing with Kobe. Over his years in the NBA he has averaged 9.4 assists, and, atleast 7.7 assists each year. Kobe Bryant has averaged 21 PPG over his years in the NBA. With JKidd dishing passes to Kobe, and Kobe having the great ability to score, along with Odom, watch out folks.

I can see it now... Kobe rbeaking the scoring record in a few years, and JKidd breaking John Stocktons Assist record...

like i said before trade cook,b.brant and medvedenko to the Nets for J.Kidd.

but Peja is still insisting for a trade and you could read in this link.... http://realgm.com/src_wiretap.php#1094264359 that he likes to be in a team with Kidd and Kobe in it. Now if we could get Kidd maybe that could catch Peja's attention.

If the Lakers do get JKidd, I don't see hwo they will possibly have enough Players left to get Peja in a trade too. Their roster is only so good, and so deep. lol. We don't wanna kill our whole. small, bench.

Why do you guys want Kidd? Him and Kobe alone will put the Lakers over the cap for the next 5 years. He's not a sure thing, and not worth the risk at his age.

isnt Peja's contract about to expire? if both Peja and Kidd really want a ring maybe they would consider cutting their fee's.

Peja has some time left on his contract, and would like to play elsewhere, but i doubt the Kings would trade Peja, since you have enough players to get by,already.

I wouldn't really want Peja. He's by far one of the best shooters in the league, but that's about it IMO. He doesn't have any defense, and he can't create his own shot. He's most effective sitting around the perimeter, and we have enough guys that do that already.

Peja's one of the Best shooters in the NBA,but like you said the Lakers have enough players shooting on the perminter already,so it's not happening.besides i just don't see Peja in a Lakers uniform at all...peroid.

Peja doesnt have to create his own shots. He can be good for the triangle offense, with him on the court Kobe has more options. and he could draw some defenders off because of his 3 point shooting skills.

You're right...except I doubt the Lakers will be utilizing the triangle this season. It's a big IF. But, if so...then Peja is a nice player to have...but still, not for Odom.

yes definitely not for Odom, maybe when Peja's contract expires he will decide to be with Vlade again. if we did have Peja then the Lakers would be unstoppable
