<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Before the Heat signed point guard Damon James, we heard Miami spoke to Memphis about trading Eddie Jones for point guard Jason Williams and small forward James Posey.</div> http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/9429298.htm I would have loved this deal if it went down.
That's an excellent trade. Or would have been. Jerry West would've accepted that? Eddie Jone's is in his 30's now and James Posey is still young and is underrated on many aspects. Jason Williams, Wade and Shaq would be a very exciting trio. Add James Posey and thats a pretty nice lookin starting 4. Very atheltic trio in Jason, James and Dwyane as well. Too bad it didn't happen.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting spawn:</div><div class="quote_post">Jerry West would've accepted that? </div> That's probably the entire reason as to why it didn't go down. If Jerry West approved it, the Heat would have definitely done this deal.
That would be a great trade for the Heat but the grizzlies wouldnt have accepted it anyways. EJ is gettin older and JWILL and Posey are still young decent players.
