I didn't know wheather to post this in the Rumors or NBA Basketball but since Kidd wants out of NJ I put it in NBA basketball <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">But just in case "wait and see" should become "see ya later", the All-Star point guard has reportedly provided the team with a short list of acceptable trade destinations. According to the New York Post, Kidd's list includes -- but is not necessarily limited to -- the Lakers, Mavericks and Timberwolves.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Mavericks' Mark Cuban certainly isn't shy about collecting high-priced players. And Dallas did lose starting point guard Steve Nash to Phoenix. But Cuban's on the verge of acquiring center Erick Dampier from the Golden State Warriors and appears to be stuck with Jerry Stackhouse. </div> Link It looks like most likly he will be a Mav...
I hate when players want to go to the teams who are the best. *Rolls eyes* Hey Jason, why not Charlotte?
I hope (but do not belive) that he will go to the lakers. But it would be hard to make 3 superstars share the ball equaly...
^ That's where Jkidd would come in, of course, his style is more fast paced so you need two rebounders and 2 runners basically. The Lakers might out-run most of the Eastern Conf. opponents but it will be use that same rountine on the West where the bigger men are pretty fast. However, Jason Kidd can mix it up and play fast and slow most likely so this will be good. But if they do do this trade the Lakers risk getting a banged-up PG with a huge contract and also losing the likes of Caron Butler.
I think he would be best on either the Lakers or the Timberwolves. Because JKidd would have the most passing options there and he needs them. I think he would be a perfect running partner with either Kobe or Garnett with their styles of play. But who knows.
He most likely won't be headed towards the t-wolves. It'd be hard for him to cuz of his salary, and the t-wolves don't need another pg. They spent almost the entire summer trying to resign hudson and they still hav cassell, but who knows how long he'll be able to keep playing. Regardless, it probably won't happen. He'd be a tight fit with the lakers, and they could use a pg, but their team is small enough as it is. They don't need to trade away what little size they have to get even smaller, no matter how good he is. Also, how is he going to share the ball with kobe? Kobe finally manages to get rid of shaq and phil so he can hav the team to himself.. he's not going to want to share the team anymore. Mavs probably have the best chance of getting him if anything. Anyway, who says the Nets have to even listen to Kidd? They don't have to trade their disgruntled star, or they can trade him to whoever they want. Kidd doesn't have the power to veto trades or demand them, much less decide where he wants to go.
I'll go with Dallas at the Moment.Kidd would be able to get the money he thinks he deserves from Cuban, and he would definetly be a great addition to the Mavericks.i beleive they could use a guy like Kidd on the team. I Hope Kidd doesn't go to the Lakers.that would make me mad.
i really really hope he would go to the lakers!!! he has the best chances of winning a championship with them!! i believe that he's gonna come back from the operation a %100. pls join the lakers pls join the lakers
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bahir:</div><div class="quote_post">I hope (but do not belive) that he will go to the lakers. Even if the Lakers do this who do you think MJs going to want? SOme scrubs like Cook, Bobbit, and George? I don't think so. The Lakers would have to give up at least someone like Caron and probably Odom too. Anyway I have no idea where Jason Kidd will end up. I have a feeling he won't get traded right now. Theres something for all of them. Dallas: They just got Jason Terry so I don't think they are too anxious to get Jason Kidd. Lakers: I'm not sure if the Lakers would want their back court taking up their salary for the rest of the decade. Minnesota: MAybe a Sam Cassel deal, this is the only one I even considering happen. WAlly and Cassel, and someone else for Kidd? I dont know. I cant see him going to any of those. I think he'll stay in New JErsey a little longer.

Shaq started this "I demand to be traded" trend and everyone else thinks they can do the same.
I think he would fit in good with the mavs since they lost nash... but if I was him I would want to go to a younger team orlando or charlotte...
I am Praying he goes to the Lakers. And, his Expierence, and age will be enough for the players to listen to him and play like a team.

If you're one of the teams NOT on his list, will you really be willing to put that much on the line for a player who has publicly stated he doesn't want to play for you? Despite not having any "real" influence as far as the paperwork goes, Kidd can still dissuade teams he doesn't like from making good offers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thedude9990:</div><div class="quote_post">I Think If Anywhere Sacremento For Peja Is Not I Think He Will Stay Or Go To A Suck Team</div> What does Peja have anything to do with Jason Kidd going to another team??
LOL, true... But I hope he becomes a Laker. I'd love it. I just really want him to leave, for the Nets to suffer for not trying to keep K-mart, and giving Kittles away, they're so stupid..
Kidd will be a great addition to the Lakers. I dont think he will upset the balance of scoring at all. He is a pure point and will distribute the ball. As for him actually playin there? I have my doubts.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AA13:</div><div class="quote_post">I think he would fit in good with the mavs since they lost nash... but if I was him I would want to go to a younger team orlando or charlotte...</div> The avg. team on the Lakers is about 25, just to let you know. Kobe, Lamar, Caron, Rush... Those are some good running mates! Very Athletic, and 3 out of those 4 can play D too! I see no reason for Kidd not to have LA as his #1. Besdies, the Lakers can throw B-Grant, K-rush, Luke Walton, or someone else to sweeten the deal!
He needs to get out New Jersey that team is going into an about three rebuilding phase. They won't be contenders again until after they're in New York. As far as possible teams go I think the T-Wolves would be out of the question because I really don't see a need for him. In LA it's a toss up Kidd and Kobe would be great together because Kidd would take some of the pressure off Kobe, and he would get Odom,Walton,Jones involved. The best fit I think is the Mavericks. Cuban will put out the money, and they have all the tools there.Mavericks have great jump shooters and offensive minded transition players that are just what Kidd needs with him to be successful.
