Well, Argentina is the obvious favorite to win this game, and their depth and skill level is certainly too much for China to match. I expect Yao to get at least 20 points though, in a game that I predict will be won by Argentina, 77-69.
Man, screw this. China can't even hold on to the ball or score 3 pointers, <strike>fags</strike>... <font color="red">Watch it. -Trip</font>
damn china got swept...i got bored of watching this game after Argentina was up 60-30 in the 3rd...was hoping to see a good game from Yao Ming oh well.

The Chinese team lost to the Argentinians, 82-57. Although this loss was expected, the margin of the loss and the lack of offensive production from the Chinese was surprising. Yao Ming had a solid game with 15 points on 6/13 shooting and 7 rebounds. However, the loss has put China in a tough spot to qualify for the medal rounds. Link

I was suprised by his defense like you say, argentina was getting passed him and dwarfed his height advantage. Kinda bummed me out cuz I was rooting for Ming/China.
Yao Ming's numbers are deceptively decent. He had a horrible first half, and that's where the game was decided. Yao is still have a tough time running up and down the court. Imagine how good he'd be if he had Shaq's energy and coordination around the basket. Damn, that'd be scary. I'm not sure if that's just something that'll be a problem for him his whole career, or if its fatigue from playing basketball nonstop for a couple years. I hope he does take a break from National Team play after this year, but I'm not sure if China would let him (or even if he'd want to quit).
