<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Nuggets' bench this fall could resemble its bench from last spring if the tentative prediction offered by Kiki Vandeweghe comes true. The general manager said after repeated talks with agents for shooting guard Jon Barry and small forward Rodney White, both might re-sign with Denver soon. "I think the likely scenario is Jon and Rodney will be back at the moment," Vandeweghe said Thursday. Reached by phone, Barry sounded similarly optimistic. "I'd like to get something worked out with them," Barry said. "That'd be nice. ... Hopefully we'll get something done next week." The guard said he also remains in contact with the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers. The Newark Star-Ledger reported Thursday that White remains on New York's wish list. Miami also has shown interest this offseason.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> This shouldn't come to surprise for anyone. This was the most obvious scenario for Jon Barry. Kiki wants him in Denver, and he wants to stay in Denver. But with more lucrative offers being thrown at him, it might affect his decision. He's been a journey man for practically his entire NBA career, and luckily for him he finally finds a team which appreciates what he does and yet he also mesh pretty well with this team. So he should defiantly stay with this team. Barry brings an excellent mid-range game to this team, and since it comes off the bench that makes it even more delightful. However, even though he's a journey man in the NBA, he brings tons of experience to this young Denver team. This Denver team is filled with young guys with the exception of Marcus Camby whom isn?t necessarily considered "old", but with the youth of this team, Barry could be their emotional and vocal leader. So this will be very good for the Nuggets if they re-sign him.
yes im not surprised that he will cuz i know that he is tried of moving his family around and just wants to say in one place for a while.
Ya it doesnt surprise me the least bit and im glad to have him back we need a solid vetran force other than marcus. He was a big part in the nuggets playoff run last year and he should help us get there again
