Kirk Hinrich is not going to take shots away from Ben Gordan rememebr Kirk led all rookies in assists per game and total assists Kirk is a true point guard now after leavin Kansas Ben Gordan is going to take Jamal Crawfords shots and we all know Crawford took alot of shots even though he was a great player so Ace2k2 ur wrong

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ace2k2:</div><div class="quote_post">Pretty much what I said except for Deng. I thought Luol Deng would start, but I don't follow the Bulls really well. Then I guess Andre Niocini will be the one taking shots away from him.

Cuury and Chandler are both going to take shots away from Ben. Im no Bulls expert, but I'm positive on that. Hinrich is going to taje way sohts from Ben too. I see it this way.

Kirks FG% .386 ----I think he'll improve to somethinglike .413 so for 15 PPG he'll need to take about 20 shots, Of course he'll be giving Ben the ball to but he'll take it from him more. He doesn't just have to pass to BEn Gordan ya know.

THe double teams may slow Okafor down but, I'm sure their coach will figure something out where Emeka will be able to get his shots off as well. HEs their number 1 option and I just cant see him failing.</div>

Fair enough, but the only people that will take shots away from Ben Gordon are an in-shape Curry and Nocioni. You don't realize that it doesnt matter what shots Kirk takes, because he creates open oppurtunities enabling Gordon to score. Curry will help Gordon out shooting wise because when Curry is double teamed he can pass it out to the perimeter to shoot the 3. Again, spacing is a major factor on offense and you can't be sure that Bickerstaff can open things up for Emeka when he has little to work with. Tyson is not the type of guy who takes shots away from you on offense (yet). He will develop into that, but as of right now, he's one who gets his points off of offensive rebounds and putbacks.

Remember, the past 2 ROY's have had talent to work with (Amare- Marion, Marbury ; Lebron- Ilgauskas[sp?] Boozer). What exactly does Emeka have? A handful of unproven players with only one who has real potential (Wallace)

i would have to say emeka okafor because he plays for the expansion charlotte bobcats and will most likely start all the games at center. he will play the most out of all the rookies and be the most depended on rookie this year. charlotte wants him to step up and make a big impact for them. if not okafor, than devin harris.

First off i would like to say I definately don't think Dwight Howard will win ROY. I'll bet he'll eventually be great, but not now. I know you could say, "Well no one thought amare would win but he did". Well Amare had some sick players to play with as obiecent already said <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Remember, the past 2 ROY's have had talent to work with (Amare- Marion, Marbury</div>. I'm just not going to argue this with no argument to work off of so whatever.

In my opinion, the only rookie that I can think of winning it at this point, is Okafor. I think Ben Gordon has too many other players trying to develope and all that crap. Okafor is <u>the</u> go to guy on his team. Gordon is just another great young player on his team. Gordon has Curry who from what i've been reading is coming in to training camp in shape and hopefully will be killing. So i just think that okafor has the greatest chance to win, and is the most obvious pick for Pre-season ROY bets.

I think Okafor, but possibly Shaun Livingston, if he plays above his expectations.

I'm picking Ben Gordon because I think he will be the guy for Chicago that will be the go to guy simply because he can shoot a 3 and Chicago does not have many of those.

Okafor will be ROY if he stays healthy. Otherwise it'll be a tight race. Gordon probably is 2nd, but not if the bulls have a terrible record.

Well this years ROY has no clear cut winner, nor any selected group of players who look like they are going to win it the award can range any where from Okafor (2nd overall pick) to Jameer Nelson (late first rounder) no one has shown that they will dominate this year.

Who nows Childress could lead the hawks to success and win ROY, or maybe Sniper will do well and win it or west, nelson, Gordon, deng, or mabye even Tony Allen its so up for grabs right now I will not make a prediction it will be stupid and ignorant of myself in my mind to say ____ will win because I have not seen how well he will ajust to the NBA which of his weaknesses may be his downfall or may be exposed. I think after the first half of the year the ROY will be much more obvious.
