Shaq still has no love for Jones he wants the Heat to trade him. Didn't Shaq say that it was Wades team. "The newspaper reported the Heat ? at O'Neal's request ? are considering trading Eddie Jones and either Damon Jones or Keyon Dooling to Memphis in exchange for the enigmatic Williams and possibly forward James Posey." http://msn.foxsports.com/story/2686752
its till wades team i think shaqs just trying to help wades team out while the leader is balling for the u s during the olypics.
That wouldnt be a bad trade anyway. The heat will definately improve. They can get to move wade to SG so he can score more. But shaq shouldnt ask the Heat to trade Jones just because of what happened in the past. Didnt they say they were cool now and there will be no problems. It also looks like they worded it wrong. It doesnt look like Shaq wants Jones out. IMO it looks like he want J-Will to come to the Heat and the Heat offered Jones
I think Shaq is only trying to help Wade and the Heat by getting the Heat better players and Wade back to his original position SG. Shaq isnt all that bad, he knows he's only Shaq for another 4-5 years so he wants to be good the time he has, after that 4-5 years its the downfall of Shaq.
Ah come on, he was mad because Kobe was playing GM on the Lakers and was the reason why he got out of the Lakers. Now, he's basically being Kobe Bryant. Shaq is too funny he contradicts his own belief.
Great trade for Miami if they can get Memphis to do this. There lineup would be pretty good. PG: Williams SG: Wade SF: Posey PF: Haslem C: Shaq
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting authentiq:</div><div class="quote_post">question: why is this in the Lakers forum? last time I checked, Shaq is with Miami now..</div>
^ although it's pretty damn selfish of Shaq if he did make this kind of demand, you hate him for this? I was never a very big fan of Shaq but I always appreciated him being in L.A. He brought us 3 titles and many great years here. I couldn't hate a guy after doing that.
^^ you dont have to idolize a player to realize his importance and significance to a team. Im not huge fan of shaq either, but Im glad he played with the lakers 8 seasons rather than in Sactown or with the Spurs. I was really happy when he came from Orlando. Im thinking all heat fans are feeling the same way i felt 8 seasons ago.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting yanix:</div><div class="quote_post">it seems that everywhere Shaq goes he always has something to complain about... sheesshh</div> , true, true. I was reading from another site that he doesn't really hate Jones but in his book I guess Shaq said that Jones is a Choke artist when it comes down to the 4th quarter. He was only a 3 quarter player, and the coach never drew no plays for him when it came down to the grind. Ooooh!
what is this thing about shaq and jones. shaq needs to grow up. i think he's taking this as personal, not business. maybe he has a personal problem with jones now that he's kicking him out again. shaq whines all the time. when the season starts, he'll complain and feel some pains on his fat body then miami fans will feel what lakers fans felt when we needed him. couldn't play with a broken toe? geez! kobe played with an injured shoulder for god sake. jordan played when he had a flu. iverson is the toughest nba player, not shaq.
We appreciate Shaq for what he did for LA but if things didn?t go his way or the team was in trouble he didn?t take fault and he would take everything personal. Example, he didn?t want Jones so he traded him and if he had a choice he would have also traded KB and if the team were to lose he would always blame it on the rest of the team. Unlike KB and Karl they both either took the blame or it was a team mistake. Like Yanix said ?everywhere Shaq goes he always has something to complain about? and again is never his fault. Like someone said in the LA Times ?Mr. Buss made a choice between who thinks of money before playing and who plays before thinking of money.? Thank You Shaq but I think you living brings a new positive atmosphere to the team.
To continue to what Jesseca said, Shaq's departure does give us a positive atmosphere to the team. The Laker offense won't seem as slow anymore as we'd wait for the Big Fella to drag himself up and down the court, we'd no longer have to deal with his controversies and drama surrounding the other players, and the Laker zoo would at least have some peace and quiet as he goes on and criticizes things that occur in Miami now. Loved that quote you put up by Mr. Buss though Jesseca which is soooo true nowadays about the Diesel.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post"> Loved that quote you put up by Mr. Buss though Jesseca which is soooo true nowadays about the Diesel.</div> Thanx Emo. I just wanted to correct you on the quote so it wont be taken out of text and people wont go crazy about it Dr. Buss didn't say it. I got it from a Laker fan that wrote it to the LATimes. Heres the full quote; "Mark Heisler wrote that Jerry Buss made a choice to build a team around Kobe instead of Shaq. I think Mr. Buss made a choice between who thinks of money before playing and who plays before thinking of money." A guy from Walnut, CA.
