Detroit Pistons head coach Larry Brown said Cameron would be invited to attend a training camp with his NBA championship team after the Olympics. Brown said he intended to sign the 1.98m, 130kg forward. </div> Link Pero Cameron is very bulky, but surprisingly quick for his size. He will get beaten by quicker forwards, but he's a great post player and a good shooter with a good Basketball IQ. But out of New Zealander's I think Kirk Penney or Mark "sparky" Dickel should be on a NBA team's training camp before him.
Pero is a very smart player who can certainly shoot the ball but I don't think he is quick enough, tall enough or have the energy to play through an NBA season. He is a good international player but I'm not sure he would be a success in this league. I doubt he will make the roster.
He is a quick and good scorer and shooter. He should be a good bench player for the pistons if he makes the squad.
