I talked to Dave recently and here are the players that aren't on contract that have been invited to Seattle's training camp:

    David Young (NC Central)
    Mateen Cleaves (Michigan State)
    Galen Young (UNC Charlotte)
    Carl English (Hawaii)
    Leon Smith (High School)

I was pretty surprised that Damien Wilkins will not be in Seattle's camp. Out of this group (considering our needs) who do you think has the best chance of making our opening day roser?

Carl English is the man, but it makes no sense that Wilkins isn't on the roster. There must be a reason for that. Smith and Young have the best shot at making it.

English is a great shooter, Smith is intriguing...I think with their fastbreak style, Smith and English could get some spots...

Great to see English in camp, the guy deserves a spot. Wilkins not getting an invite is a shock...if his play during the summer leagues doesnt merit a call back, then I don't know what does.

That could explain why Wilkins got so many minutes over Dave Young in Summer League. Management obviously wanted a good look at him, and probably didn't like what they saw, while they would have already known what dave brings to the table.

Out of that list, I really hope Smith sticks.

Yes, English(Canadian)!, Should have a decent shot at the team. Who's David by the way?

Dave Young, our second round draft pick.
