Last season with Detroit Okur averaged 22MPG, and started 33 games. He still managed to put up 9.6 PPG and 5.9RPG, with Ben Wallace around. Now in Utah he will have a far bigger role than what he did in Detroit, what numbers do you think he will put up?
13.2 ppg 7.6 rpg 1.4 bpg 30.7 mpg Overall, he'll have the best year of his career(so far), getting the most playing time he's ever had, and he'll produce. He was a good pickup by Utah, and is one of the better centers in the leauge. AK47, Boozer, and Okur will be one of the better frontcourts in the league, and this team is a definite playoff team in my eyes.
His numbers will probably be pretty moderate, considering the competition on his own team for chasing down rebounds. I'd expect something about what ObieCent predicted, with season averages of 12.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 1.5 assists over 33 minutes.
I think that he wont be that big of a force in utah because of players like Boozer and AK on the front line he will get shots, but not that many as he will not be any where near the number one option on the team he will work hard and have to hustle for a lot of his points hewill get overall I agree with most people though it will be the best season of his career individually as a player. I predict his stat line will be something like 11-7-3 with around 25-30 minutes a game I dont think he will really play much in the five spot he doesnt seem to have the muscle to do it out wst imo. Then behind boozer and AK for both the small and power forward spot minutes will come, but not as many as some people would think.
As long as Memo can put up respectable numbers and do his job, I'll be happy. Utah needs him to rebound, block shots, and score. I believe he can do better than what Greg Ostertag did, especially in scoring. As long as he gets at least 12 PPG and 7RPG in 30MPG, he'll be doing his job well as he's not needed to carry this team. There a lack of quality center's in the league, and Memo has the chance to prove himself as a good big man in Utah.
11 PPG 7.7 Rebounds 9.9 Blocks 1.9 Assists Overall- Best year of his career. Probably taking him to new heights if he can continue it. He has plenty of space to fill in Utah.
I hope he is as good as everyone says. I watched him with the Turkish Team against the USA and he seemed to play well against Tim Duncan and others on the USA team. He seems to have great foot work and a good defensive game, I'm going to say around 10 ppg, 7 rpg, 1 bpg. If he can do that he will be the best offensive center the Jazz ever had.
