Why do people write this kind of pure supposition? Jordan playing a pick up game against guys he's trained with in the past does not equal the possibility that he's making a return to playing. After all, I believe MJ does own Hoops the Gym, doesn't he? It just means that he felt like playing basketball. Just because he's retired, doesn't mean he doesn't occasionally hanker to get his run on with a few old freinds, at least one of whom mentioned in the article, he plays with almost every summer, in Antoine Walker. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Tribune cautions against an MJ comeback </div> At least they got that part right. This should have been a non-story.
well i think if Mj was to make a comeback he couldnt hurt the league at all i dont think. but as hagrid said hes probally just playing to play the game. i mean the guy just purely loves the game.
Jordan is just playing some pick-up basketball games he even knows he cant contribute much on a basketball court. I love Micheal Jordan but people are making him sound like he is Tupac or Elvis like figure HE ISNT COMING BACK. So go watch your highlight films and think bout the old times.
Though I would love to see him back his comeback this time is nothing, but speculation really. He is 41 and if he came back he would give back the record career highest scoring average as well as play a small roll in w/e team he returned to play for. Like lets say he returned as a bull (I would love it) he would sell tickets and create some excitement, but seriously hurt Gordon and Hinrich with all the shots he would want to take and wanting the ball in clutch time. He would probably also get injured mabye because he is very out of shape he needs to go on a diet because the last time I saw him n espn he was very out of shape. Considering the fact also that the speed of the NBA will pick up big time this season it will be a long shot for him to play more than twenty minutes a game without getting tired. Age is really what kills him and other players like Dennis Rodmans come back hopes although if Jordan wanted to come back which he doesnt I dont think he would have no problem finding a team. Come on though people he is 41 the greatest of all time has never averaged under twenty points and has six world titles, six finals mvps, five mvps, and numerous other accomplishments as well as the highest career point average. He is the greatest ever, but he cant last for ever for the NBA to continue to grow and reach its full potential they cant keep depending on a Jordan come back plus I think if he does make a come back it would really ruin his legacy .
This is probably a bigger story than what it's being made out to be.I'm sure MJ,was just playing a causal game of Basketball, just hanging out with friends, and some reporter probably wanted a big story,so i guess that's what happened?? I Seriously doubt he's coming back.so this whole story is probably been blown way out of porportion.

The media loves to come up with titles that are way blown up over the original source. Just because Jordan was playing a pickup game of basketball doesn't mean he's coming back.

The man was just playing a pick up game and ppl are starting to believe he'll return again. My dad was playing pick up games at 41 too. I would just think as it as him just wanting to play the game for fun. Not him returning again. :shakehead
There;s no way Jordan is coming back to the league as a player, maybe an owner but not a player. The Media took an innocent pick-up game out of proportion. There's no need for worry people MJ isn't playing in the league again.
I find this funny. lol. Its a pointless story. Hes an old man, even if he cam eback he would never be good.
I think Jordan said there was a .0000009 chance he would play again so I think the media is taking this pick up game out of poportion, but to be honets I wouldnt mind seeing Jordan in the leauge as a player again.
This is a perfect example of the "Media MIke" thing I always talk about. Always tryin' to get up in his "HANES"...and one day hold "The ballpark". YES THEY ARE PUNS
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting That NBA Girl:</div><div class="quote_post">For Goodness sake, I hope he doesn't return. I love him and all but he shouldn't return.</div> I Doubt it.this was a pickup game, and it was simply a case of a overzealous reporter just wanting a story with a big scoop.I highly doubt MJ will be back in the NBA??

So he was playing a pickup game with his friends, big deal, where did he say or even imply that he wanted to make a return? No where. Just some stupid sports writer trying to make a name for himself by spreading false rumors.

I think it would be stupid move, he is what.... 42, he can not do what he used to be able to do, he can probably barely dunk, and this is the age of dunking.
