As we all know, Allen Iverson is now moving to the PG spot. So that raised the question, who will be starting at the SG? While it's most likely that Willie Green may be the starting SG, Jim O'Brien is still baffled on who will start at the Center position. So what I?m basically saying is that anything may happen and Aaron McKie just may get the starting SG spot, you never know.

Well, I for one think Aaron McKie should start. While he doesn?t posses the quickness and athleticism of Willie Green, McKie is by far a smarter basketball player than Green. Not to mention, Mckie could also take some off the ball handling load of off Iverson which is defiantly a plus, seeing as that Iverson over dribbles at times and ruins the team offense and ball movement. And to also point out, Mckie is a very good finisher. And even though our fastbreak wouldn?t be as quick opposed to Green playing the SG, I would have more faith in Aaron Mckie finishing it at the basket.

And lastly in order to run the fastbreak game we will be in need of a shooter whom will open the court in which we can run the fastbreak. While Glenn Robinson is our only real perimeter threat, opposing teams would still be able play the zone defense which will sabotage our plans of getting into the open court. So I believe to have guaranteed non zone defense played against us, we should place both McKie and Robinson on the both sides of the court and thus that will kill the zone and ultimately lead us into the transition game that we plan on running.

Btw, here is a little chart that I made in hopes you guys could find this useful to make your pick on who should start at the 2 spot.

Even tough Aaron is still a very solid player,I would keep him off the bench,he plays really well that way and often produces when he comes off the bench he can give us leadership shooting and solid defene but thats about it.Even tough he could have the ability to start(he always stepped up when AI was hurt)I think it would be best to let him come off the bench.

Right now Willie Green is our best bet,I say let him start if he doesnt work out we have plenty of players that could replace him on our bench.

I think Aaron should start. Even though he is old he is a proven player in the league while Willie Green is just some youngster. I thing I don't know about though is that Aaron is a 6th man and is used to being a sixth man. Aaron is a great player and can score 20 any given night that AI isn't there and he proved it by being a great back-up. I think the staring spot should belong to Aaron Mckie in the early season and see how things go. I think though by the end of the season Willie Green will earn his spoting spot.

As for center theree is no argument in my mind that Sammy should start. When you have a very talented center like SAm Dalembert you mind as well start him and you better.

Yeah, but wouldnt you rather give the youngster more of a chance and more minutes?Willie Green also proved he was able to play,by the way he played when Allen was out.

Willie Green played well in the summer leauge averaging 19.3 ppg and dropping a 30 point game, those are signs of consistantcy and I think he could maybe avergae 15ppg if starting for the Sixers.

I'd rather start Willie, and just have Aaron produce off the pine. While they're at it, give him a little more PT and watch him work.

Moving Mckie into the starting lineup would be a bad idea. One it would be like what the Spurs did with Ginobli last season moving him into the startiong lineup it would take away a huge spark plug for us off the bench and also although Green in turnover prone with starters around him that can be held to a minimum while if he goes in there with bench players the talent level decreases making him seem even more turnover prone.

One of the big reasons that Snow was traded was befcause he did not fit in to JO's new system plans. Another one was because the 76ers wanted to move Green into the starting lineup at all costs and that ment trading Snow. Mckie has shown his best place is as a sixth man removing him from that situation would hurt his game and the teams over all flow. Also what rookies are not turnover prone Lebron was averaging what four turnovers around all star break.

All of the "weaknesses" that you listed for Aaron Mckie are actually strengths. They will allow AI to have more freedom and play like the sg that he really is.

How is his lack of speed a strength? Espically when you look at the type of offense we want to run one that run and guns up and down the court he will easily get lost in the flow of the game. Also how is his lack of stamina a strength? That means he wont be able to play long stints consistantly in a game.

AI is a point guard now he does not need to play like a shooting guar dand if you have followed AI through his whole career like some people you would know he was originally a point guard who was turned into a shooting guard by larry brown. Anyway he needs talented players to pass the ball to not freedom with freedom you have a guy who shot under 40% last season jacking up 30 shots a game with good players surrounding him you have a good fast break team and a even talented player.

I say go to the young guy and that's Willie Green, Move AI to PG. I think he is going to have a big year and more to come after that.

Go with Willie Green, Avery said it himself, about Mckie <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">- Aging
    - Lacks Quickness
    - Stamina
    - Athleticism
    </div>

McKie doesn't have that great of stamina and I think age is finally going to catch up with him, at this point in Mckie's career he really should be a nice shooter off the bench, but we have that in Korver [IMG] ...I think Iguodala should be throw into the mix here, I think it's more of an Iggy vs. Green argument...
