<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There is Eagle, Colo., where Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant is warming up to stand trial for rape. According to legal reporters, about 300 potential jurors have been rustled into the courtroom for interviews. More than 100 of these candidates were wearing Miami Heat jerseys. They were excused by the defense team, which has a more formidable inside game than the Lakers. The other 200 jury candidates had literary agents. For the record, this jury-selection process includes a courthouse tap dance called voir dire, which is French (I think) for "let's find a bunch of people who live in tree houses." This week, the 12 men and women who will decide Kobe Bryant's fate will be chosen. (Peter Fredin / AP) A bunch, in court cases, is 12, with a few potential jurors on injured reserve. Weeding out candidates is not unlike the NBA's expansion draft; not unlike teams that are allowed to protect a certain number of players, lawyers are granted a number of challenges. </div> Click here for the rest.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PHILLYsixers323:</div><div class="quote_post">i dont know why they would do that but w/e</div> Don't know either, but i'm making a wild guess that those 100 jurors are Kobe Hata's
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">um...i'm pretty sure the writer was joking...ya crazy man..lol</div> I'm sure it was a Joke, but think about it...The writer must not care about Kobe that much. what would happen in reality if that were the case?? It would be funnier than most sitcoms on TV now.
i could see that happening.. i mean, if i could get out of jury duty by wearing a shaq jersey i would do it in a heartbeat.. and these guys must have thought the same thing.
Wow, 100 Kobe haters, next time we should get 100 wearing kobe jerseys. Then it'll be a colorful courtroom, lol.
No one is hating kobe, or loving shaq. No one wanted to serve jury duty is more like it. They would receive death threats from kobe fans. They don't know how long the trial would be, or if it would be televised. There's so much more than "hating kobe" Some ppl would rather get their real salaries. The only ppl that might be interested in jury duty are those who are unemployed. BTW the lawyers tend to chose teachers and other educated folks which would minimize the bias.

I don't think it would have been like the Peterson Case. The case wasn't going to be televised the only things that the media was going to be able to film was opening and closing statements. From what I read about the people from Eagle is that they are very educated with most of them graduating college and so on.
