<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bulls.com: Here?s your chance to put an end to the rumors that you?re overweight. What are you weighing in at these days? Eddy Curry: ?I?m right around 285, the target weight that the Bulls want me at. I feel that by October, I will definitely be under that. Right now my goal is to come in to training camp under the weight that they want me at so I have some extra room to put on additional muscle. I obviously want to feel good about my weight and feel good about myself once the season starts.? Bulls.com: What kind of shape would you say you are in now as opposed to this time a year ago? Curry: ?It?s not even close, a complete turnaround. I feel that up until this summer, I kind of looked at training camp as the time to get into shape. I had to learn that I needed to be in shape before it started and now that I am, I plan on using training camp as a tool to help myself and help the team get closer together as opposed to everyone struggling to get in shape. You risk injury when you come in out of shape and that?s just what I was doing in previous seasons.? </div> <div align="center">Link </div> Great news, I think he's really gonna break out of his shell this year. It's not too farfetched to expect 18-21 ppg and 7-9 rpg. Again, great news for Bulls fans, now i doubt Paxson trades him.
This is great news if it is true it reopens the chances of him signing an extension bvefore tyhe season meaning that next off season we only have to worry about resigning Chandler which is probably not going to be that easy, but considering all the cap room we should have we will definitly be able to match any offer that we feel he is worth. I cant wait to see Curry in action for the Bulls thi season if he can lose some wait like he says he has he will be more athletic allowing him to use more different post up moves and all of that stuff around the basket as well as not hurt us on the fast break. Great news now sign him and its perfect news.

I expect more minutes to come to Eddy Curry, however i still don't expect him to average 18-21 ppg and 7-9 rpg, not right now anyways. This year i belive his numbers will rise but only to a certain point. If you expect him to get those nearly-allstar numbers after averaging just 14 points and 6 rebounds, that is overreaching. It's a step-by-step process for improvement for Curryand this is great news to see him in shape, adding on some speed and stamina.

Now that he is in shape, i think we can expect an even bigger improvement.
Having Curry in shape further improves the Chicago Bulls shots at playoff glory. Well I say glory because it would be there highest point since the end of the Jordan era. They have so much talent and I don't really think they need to aquire another peace to reach the playoffs, but on the other hands improve and resign the ones they already have. Curry has taken a huge step at the improve what you have part, but then again when you have a possible 67 million dollar contract waiting for you who wouldn't improve there condition. I wish the Bulls and there fans as well as Curry the best of luck in this upcoming season they have many tough teams in there division so a title race is a little far for them still, but a playoff run is not considering that it is a toss up after the 6th seed in the east any team can get in wizards, bulls, and even the hawks maybe.
^ Good Post I think this is a great thing for this young Bulls team that will have trouble scoring, because on how young it is, So if we can have Eddy putting in some more consistent numbers that can greatly help this Bulls team. But I hope this isnt something he is doing so that he can get a big contract next off-season and then do the same next time a contract season comes around. Atleast next year looks a bit promising with his improvements.
Verticle, I like you, lol. Welcome to JBB. I don't think it's about the money. I think he just has finally matured. Besides, he could've gotten big bucks anyway even if he was out of shape going to a team like the hawks with plenty of money.
THis is really good News, I think with this news, the bulls will offer an extension. I think he will steadily improve over time. My prediction is next year- 15 PPG 6 RBG
Those are the stats he got last year, when he was out of shape, younger, and with less expirience. I expect to see 18.4 ppg and 7.7 rpg.
Curry really has to get his act together. It's disturbing to see his talent go to waste. Especially when he CAN take control at any time. I'll be the first to tell you the kid could be great, he's just got to lose some damn weight. Looks like he started, well it isn't easy to keep the weight off it's harder to keep it off then to take it off. Like Sir Charles once said (something like this): That boy needs to learn two words to be great: ''I'm full.'' Ah, Sir Charles can really make one smile with his quotes, but in this case its no joke, Curry has got to get to work. And he'd better start soon or he'll really screw himself.

He has totally changed his work ethic this off season and it is paying off for him. The minimum the Bulls wanted him at to give him a 67 million dollar contract extension was 285 so he has gotten to that point now he has to wait on the Bulls.

I mentioned in my post that he STARTED to get to work. However it takes a lot more work to keep oneself from putting the weight back on.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">This is a revolutionary summer for Bulls center Eddy Curry. Under new management, going by a new nickname (E-City) and flashing a new attitude, the new-look veteran is undergoing a radical revision as he heads into a contract year that will determine if the Bulls will lock him into a long, lucrative contract that could pay him close to $90 million over seven years. A little over a month ago, he was doing all the wrong things. He was a slouchy hip-hopper tipping the scales at 320 pounds and headed in the opposite direction of the 285-pound target weight the Bulls had set. He got ripped in the media for being on track to come to camp overweight and out of shape for the fourth straight year since the Bulls drafted him out of Thornwood High School. But new agents Darren White and Lamont Carter compelled him to submit to a massive makeover. No more cornrows, baggy clothes and immaturity. Well, on Tuesday, Curry made his periodic pilgrimage to the Bulls to get weighed, and the scales provided some good news for E-City lovers. He weighed in at 285 pounds, and training camp is still more than a month away.</div>-article form benmaller.com It looks like he is actually going to start working hard, his stats will most likely to go up since he is in shape, and this is his contract year,he could be putting up numbers like 15+ppg and 8rpg.

From what I see this off season this season is shaping up to be the year of the centers with Yao improving, Eddy and Shaq getting into shape, and although he is not a center players like Pau Gasol starting to show there true potential.
