I doubt they will use the Triangle seeing as that was Phil Jackson's thang but who knows.

Well, Phil turned it around to use it for Shaq...because it was Phil's ideal offense for Michael Jordan. Kobe wasn't the greatest at the time Phil showed up, but Shaq was already in the league then for about 6 years and was getting really good, so Phil used it to push everything in Shaq's direction, but to also develop Kobe into a great player...like Jordan did Pippen...only Kobe is exceeding Scottie and heading straight into MJ's direction. You guys are forgetting something. The Triangle's success shouldn't be attributed to Phil, credit has to be given to Phil for recognizing the effectiveness of the Triangle, However, the reason for the success of the Triangle and its many variations teams coached by Jackson have used has to be given to Tex Winter. Phil brought him to the Bulls then to the Lakers.

Tex developed the triangle using concepts he learned in college under Sam Berry. He took the basic ideas of Berry's Center Option Offense and developed them for what he envisioned. The Triangle relies heavily on spacing, cutting, ball movement and reacting to what the defense presents you.

Rudy T. will not run the Triangle and if he did I think it would be a miserable failure compared to Phil & Co. Rudy is known to like the run and gun, wide open style of play thats the reason I think letting Payton go was a huge mistake because the type of offense that will be implemented this year would be right up Glove's alley.
