What a baby he needs to suck it up and move on why is he making a big deal about it do you hear emeka okafor saying anything and he has even less experience then carmello. Kind of shows what a selfish player he his by the stuff he said.

I agree. I used to have a lot of respect for Carmelo both on and off the court.
Then I heard about the way he acts around fans and tells them to "f**k off", which I have heard from plenty of Carmelo fans.
Carmelo needs to just shut up and play instead of whining and complaining. If you saw his play in the Olympics, you know why LB benched him.
He is even more selfish then I thought, I have very little respect for him now. He has the skills, but his mentality is worse then Tracy Mcgrady's.

yea, but at least Kobe's usually been able to back up his attitude with solid numbers. Anthony has only himself to blame for his lack of playing time at the Olympics and he turns it into a self-pity thing. It's not like he wasn't given a chance, he was averagin a lotta minutes before the tournament started.

Well, he didn't show the kind of game that LB needed against Puerto Rico, and that's when it counts. I don't like to make this comparison, but Lebron didn't get much time the first game either but he rebounded the second game, and got more time.

Yha have you ever heard kobe complain about being benched?? in fact when a challenge comes kobes way he allways handles it by himself and does it in a very honorable and classy way he doesnt go around telling people the problems he has he deals with them thats the difference between a baby and a champion.

What's Kobe got to do with this anyway? This thread was about Carmelo and his reaction to being benched. Honestly, I love the guy's game, and the Nuggets have a bright future ahead of them, but Carmelo has definitely dissapointed me on a few occasions with his immaturity. I think that factored into LeBron winning ROY more than people realize (though you could argue that lebron was a lock to win it from the get-go).

Seriously though, Melo has a mean game, he needs to learn to suck it up and work on improving his all round game so he doesn't get benched again. I hate the fact that he doens't seem to understand what an honor it is to simply be an olympian. I followed the Olympics pretty closely this time around, and it seems like such a great experience for everyone there. He needs to learn to appreciate it for what it is, not dependent on how much he plays or what color the medal is that he gets.

well i think hes moved on and if he hasnt he needs to grow up. I think he gets it that its an honor to be an olympian but he felt he deserved more after what he showed he could do in the exhib. games and hes right but if he just kept his head up he would have been better of an most likely gotten his minutes back but sulking doesnt do much. And as far as the color of the medal goes CeltFan, you'd be lying if you werent dissapointed in bronze.

i think carmelo lacks the maturity that some young players in the NBA possess such as his buddy lebron... lebron was also being benched in the Olympics before he approached the situation like a man, corrected what he did wrong and started to produce more for the team... bron's got the right attitude to be willing enough to adjust to the system, no matter how good he is... he knows he is a very good player but when he's no good in a certain system, he finds a way to be a good one in that system, he wants to get better... on other hand, melo doesn't have this attitude, if he doesn't do well, he thinks the system fails him and he shouldn't adjust to it... it's all about maturity... bron's got it down pat, melo's still got to learn

Boy anything concerning another star Kobe still finds away to get into the mix of debate. But anyways, I seen a thread about Melo getting into fistacuffs in a New York club. Gotta go back and read about it, I'm not to sure that if it actually happened.
