Well I know most like 99.9% of all Bulls fans cant wait to see this guy leave town he is a horrible all around player a bit athletic, but basically over payed, over hyped, and just basically over rated. Question is who will take him off of our hands or will we have to wait to clear him with waivers or until his contract expires. I am hoping we include him in the Mutombo trade, but when do you guys think we can get rid of him?
No way Rockets will take him back. Salaries wouldn't work anyways. Putting him on waivers won't do a thing. Nobody will pick him up and the Bulls will still have to pay his contract. A buyout could be negotiated if they want him out that bad. Eddie Robinson isn't overhyped or overated. He's just overpaid. He's a decent NBA player, and was overhyped and overated for the first year and summer when he signed the contract. Things has change since then, people know who he is, what he's capable of and what he's getting paid. He's not a bad player, but his contract turn people agaisnt him. It's not his fault that the Bulls gave him a bad contract, their was a market out their at the time, and the Bulls just outbidded all the contenders for him.

Then what is saying that the rockets would not take him considering they want Mutmobo so bad? A few bad contracts tossed in the deal along with some small contracts from them could make things match. Not a bad player? The man played in 51 games last season and averaged 6 points in 20 minutes earning that kind of money he should be doing way better than that. He is a bad player considering the situation he is in. Would you ant to have him on your favorite team? Any Bulls fan you ask about him actually make that 99% because there is a guy around here who says he is his favorite player anyway 99% of the bulls fans you ask will have nothing positive to say about this guy.

You should know what he's capable of by now and what he brings to the team each game. All the other media people and NBA Followers know that, and they don't overhype him. This isn't 2002 or 2001 anymore. On Mutumbo, you have to realize, that this is his last year in his contract. Robinson still has multiple years with a large amount of cash left in it. They would no way take him in a deal for Mutumbo. It would put them in a bad finicial situation. E-Rob's contract plus Mutumbo's is well over 10 Million, and the Rockets don't have anyone to give up with contracts to match that. Mo Taylor is the only one, but he earns his contract more than Eddie Robinson, and the Rockets need a Big, so they wouldn't trade him. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Not a bad player? As a player, his contract doesn't matter because the Bulls gave him that money. He's still a decent player. Is shooting 48% and being a tough defender a negative thing? He doesn't shoot the extremely well from the charity strike, but he can attack the basket and is very athletic and can finish his shot in the lane. He's no MJ but he can get 9 PPG or so, he's proved it in Charlotte. How about the games when he played large minutes? In 27 MPG in February, he shot over 52% and scored 10.8 PPG. In January in 22 MPG he scored 9 PPG in about 23 MPG shooting over 46%. These are the months where he got consitant playing time. Even in November when he played quite a few minutes, though they dropped in a few games, he had a decent numbers, shooting 49% with 5 FGA/G. He's a decent player if he can get consistant minutes. People just are too critical of him because he's overpaid by the Bulls.
He is not overrated. He can play good defense, and hit the small 10-15 ft jumper. His problem is his contract, which tears apart our cap situation. There are 2 problems i have with E-Rob. One, of course, is the money. The other is that he doesnt use his athleticism to the fullest. He never takes it to the paint because he's afraid of getting injured . No team would take E-Rob's contract unless we gave them some of our young talent, I'd rather just wait for his cotract to end, and soon enough, his contract will be only a memory.
