i still get a kick out of how the raptors were offered JJ and a low second round pick for their 20 something pick. But instead they took the Lakers offer of 26th pick and Lindsey Hunter. Soon as ai heard that i knew it was a mistake. Johnson had talent, even if it hadnt shown that much at that point...there was a reason why he was drafted so high

As much as I think the line up of: PG Steve Nash SG Quentin Richardson SF Joe Johnson PF Shawn Marion C Amare Stoudemire ...is crazy some actually dont.... ...Suns president Bryan Colangelo said he sees the team's best combination with Stoudemire playing center, the East Valley Tribune reports..... http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=roto...owire&type=lgns

Guys, come on...you'd rather get rid of Joe Johnson than Quentin Richardson? I'll say this...Q-Rich will get destroyed by McGrady, Kobe, Ray Allen, etc...because Q's defense is worse than anyone else's on the Suns' roster. You've already got scorers...Q will be jacking up shots all game...get rid of the guy that's less needed, because you don't want to end up with an all-offensive roster and no defense, especially in the SG position.

I would rather just trade JJ for a center like Nene and move Marion back to SF: Lineup if they trade for Nene: PG - Steve Nash SG - Quentin Richardson SF - Shawn Marion PF - Amare Stoudemire C - Nene Thats a great lineup right there...Shooting on the outside with Nash, Richardson, and Marion, and low post game in Amare and Nene...I am still waiting for this trade to happen, lol, it would benefit both teams...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Hendrix:</div><div class="quote_post">^if they trade for nene then Marion or Joe Johnson will go to denver...and Q plays like 6'8!</div> It's Joe Johnson, I've dropped the idea about 10 time now, it can't be Marion since his contract is like 5 times that of Nene and JJ's. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting realdealbneal:</div><div class="quote_post">It would be nice, except Amare wants to play PF and Marion only played the four once in his career (I believe). We can't trade Q for Nene because Q makes too much. Their's no other big man we could use Q as trade bait for really, and he just signed with the team, so why would the trade him? I've expressed how much I want to keed JJ and get rid of Q as JJ actally knows how to play defense, and though not as good a shooter or rebounder, does everything else better than Quentin "No defense, no handles" Richardson. All in all, JJ is really the only guy we can get a young big man for, and he's not going to want to re-sign with the team with Q here, so why not just trade him for a young big man? I had this Nene idea as soon as we got Q, and I've dropped it and people like it, if Denver just had another big man they could rely on to not get injured I think they'd do it, but what if they trade Nene and Camby goes down, that's just horrible for the team. JJ for Chris Wilcox, that's nice, but Wilcox isn't as good at center as Nene, though he can play it too....

Guys...you can trade Q-Rich for Nene. Richardson makes more, that's true...but you also have to realize that the Nuggets are about $9 million under the cap, so they can absorb Q-Rich's contract.
I say JJ is better than Q Rich. Especially for the Suns. Last year when Marbury left, JJ stepped it up big time, and was everywhere on the court... the only reason Q did good last year was cause he was stealing Maggettes and Brand's shots.

I think the Nuggets would rather have JJ, but whatever way works for me <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">the only reason Q did good last year was cause he was stealing Maggettes and Brand's shots</div> Seriously though, those guys are some of them ost efficient scorers and shouldd've been getting the ball, but Q kept jacking em up. Kittles will definately be a better fit on the team.
Well Q could have change his style of play too, the Suns wouldn't just sign him. They probably talked to him before his contract and said you need to cut down on some shots...It looks like most people like JJ to start...Maybe this trade? The Suns cannot trade Q until December 1st... Phoenix trades: SG Quentin Richardson (17.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 36.0 minutes) Phoenix receives: SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.9 minutes) SF Nene Hilario (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.9 minutes) Change in team outlook: -14.6 ppg, -4.8 rpg, and -1.8 apg. Denver trades: SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.9 minutes) SF Nene Hilario (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.9 minutes) Denver receives: SG Quentin Richardson (17.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 65 games) Change in team outlook: +14.6 ppg, +4.8 rpg, and +1.8 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED
Right now I would keep them both and see how the vibe and chemistry will be.If it came down to it I would just give them 24 minutes each and whoever is doing the better jobs gets a few more minutes then the other lol. This team would really be good if they could get one of these players to play the Sixth Man role.

I think JJ will fit into that role better, I don't think of Q as a 6th man.
Huh? Q was a 6th man for the Clippers and did very well, he averaged 13.3 points, 4.1 RPG, 0.96 SPG in 26.6 MPG, and shot 43.2 and 38.1%. JJ was the 6th man before this year, and he was horrible as a 6th man, his game just wasn't flowing, and he played horrible, his shot wasn't falling and nothing seemed to click for him. JJ isn't an energy guy, but Q cna be an energy guy.

If he learns to cut down on his shoots and still be effective, then after this year I would keep Q and use the money that we would spend to re-sign JJ and sign a better center.
