<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe Bryant is accustomed to a supporting cast of four when he goes into battle as a basketball player. But to defend himself against a charge that could have put him in prison for life, he rallied a team of at least 64 people. One published report estimated Bryant's expenses by late April at $2 million and counting, with the potential to hit $10 million if the case had gone to trial. On the other hand, the prosecution team of about 25 incurred costs estimated at $300,000 to $400,000, according to spokeswoman Krista Flannigan.</div> Full Story
Since Kobe wanted to get off the hook in this case,he did what any man in his postion would have done.hire all the lawyers he could have to get him off scott free.he's wealthy, and when you are in his postition, you can have the luxury of this.64,that's a lot,but hey why not??
That's a lot of people but if you have the money, you believe you're innocent, think about not being able to see your daughter, and more you would do the same. At the end I guess those people did their job cause the men is walking free.

Here's an article on how the case should had been dismiss since October. Is related to how good of a lawyer Mackey and Co. are. http://www.vaildaily.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...016/0/FRONTPAGE <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Prosecutors took three and a half hours to set up their case that Bryant had forced a 19-year-old Eagle woman to have sex with him in his hotel suite. The heart of the matter It took defense attorney Pamela Mackey 22 minutes to drill through it like a stiletto through butter. </div> Like I said before money well spend.

I really appreciate all of the hard work you go through, just in case nobody else has commented on you about that (although I'm sure there have been others). You're a pretty intelligent poster...and one helluva fan in my books.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Robert Shapiro, a veteran of the O.J. Simpson defense team, declined to discuss how Bryant's numbers compare with Simpson's in his notorious double-murder case. Shapiro said, however, "Prosecutors are fond of saying that they're not going to treat a high-profile case any differently than any other case. But that clearly is a fiction. The resources of the state in prosecuting Mr. Bryant are enormous - much more than any individual could ever have."</div> What a joke Shapiro is so anti-KB. Just for reference Shapiro used to work for the Globe, so you know what kind of writer he is, and he is the one that published the book about the alleged incident called "The Game of His Life". The book was just Kates story of what happen and at the end it all turned out to be false because of what came out during the hearings and the prelim. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Bryant defense, Shapiro said, could have hoped only to "try to level the playing field. But it can never be leveled successfully because the state has far too many resources.</div> Yeah so much for resources, in the last hearing they were complaining about not having enough money to hire experts like KB. And if I remember during the conference Hurlbert blamed the state because it cut funding and personnel. If I were you I wouldn't trust Shapiro he probably has another book deal in the works with Kate, guess were the info came from the first book. Thanks Realdeal.
I'd spend all the money in the world to keep me out of jail. Even if i have to pay a loan for life! LOL
