Update: It seems to be the consensus that we're going to move this out of the Celtics forum to either the NBA or Tournament forums. It'll get more attention there and there's even talk of the possibility of JBB awarding prizes. However, as with the structure, that hasn't been worked out yet and there's no guarantees. One of the issues with awarding prizes in that there may have to be a change in the manner in which the debates are judged, in order to make sure that people remain honest in thier voting and aren't just voting against myself or others to get thier peeps gear, etc. I know that sounds sad that people would do that, but it's happened before and if we're going to do this, we're going to do it right. I know folks are hankering to get another debate going, but I would like to ask you to hold off until next week, so that we can get this right. I apologize for the delay.
Hagrid, I see no need for me to accept an award for our debate. You are obviously confident in your abilities to post. Confidence is a good thing, but know your opponents as well. Don't set yourself up for failure.
I have no idea where you're going with that Shiek, but I have the feeling I should somehow take offense, as it appeared to be a personal shot at me. The idea of awards for came up as part of an overall debate tournament. I don't think anyone deserves anything just for beating me, nor would I suggest such. I think you've confused some of my actions, which were made mostly to entertain others, as some kind of ego trip or something else, which if you knew me better, would know is not the case. Regardless.....

After all, you're going to beat me right? It's a foregone conclusion......at least according to that statement. But I supposed I should just do what you have done towards me and just assume you're arrogant, rather than bother to try to seek out the actual truth. Give it a rest and move on.
