<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Cavaliers are taking a serious look at Keon Clark, who is a free agent. The 6-foot-11 Clark played only two games last season because of injuries. But in the previous three years, he missed only seven games. He averaged about nine points and six rebounds in those seasons. He is known as a shot-blocker. Clark is a little thin for center at 220 pounds, but he should be OK as a backup. He also can play some power forward. He's 29 years old and plays with a lot of energy.</div>

Did they end up getting Traylor? Either way, this would be a solid signing if Clark could stay healthy, particularly in the East. He can give you 15-20 minutes of hustle, rebounding and a defensive presence, and a bit of insurance for Z.

I love the idea of bringing Keon to Cleveland, we need a quality big man on the bench.

He could be a nice additon to any team,he should bring a lot of energy and he could deffiantly give the Cavs more depth at the C position.

This would be a great signing for the Cavaliers, but would the manage to find minutes for him with Drew Gooden, Z, DeSagana Diop, Traylor, and Varejao already there? Diop can back-up Z and then Traylor and Varejao can back-up Gooden so do they really need another big man?

Keon would be a great addition for an already weak bench. Hopefully we can pull this deal off.

I think this would be a iffy signing for them. Keon Clark is injury prone why would they need another injury prone player to back up Big Z who also has a history of injuries? They need someone solid when it comes to being healthy, possibly a unsigned rookie free agent that has decent size would fit well into there team concept. I still think that Clark has some gameleft in him and would be a good signing for any team, but the Cavs considering how many injury prone players they have at that position.

This should be a good signing for them. Less minutes for Diop. He's a good defensive presence with his shot blocking ability, and has some offensive game too. I wish he was a rap still, but him and Carter have some beef now.

I think the Cavs have pretty much given up on Diop amounting into much more than he already has been in the league. They probably don't trust him even as a backup to Z anymore.

Keon would be a great addition to the team. He would pretty much be everything that Battie was to the us, but better if he's healthy. I really hope we can sign this guy.

I think we just need to give him a 1 year deal. If he does nad this year we would just let him, if he does good we give him an extension...

Keon Would be a great addition to the Cavs. When he was on the Raps a couple seasons back he was able to clean the glass, and now with the East in about the same condtition as it was then Keon could possibly be the best backup center in the East.

My question is how well is he going to perform seeing that he just came out of injury. Lots of players lose alot of touch when you go down for a good amount of time.

I like Keon. His problem is that he should've put some more meat on those legs of his.
He needed to get in that Yao Ming program as far as lower body goes. He will be a nice edition for your Cavs if he can manage to stay healthy somehow.

Yeah, Keon is rather lanky. Sorta like an early Marcus Camby. But I actually think this lankyness enhances his athletism. If he gained weight it would probably take away from his game.

I just LOVE what the Cavs have done this offseason! I think our team is really improved.

Boozer was overrated this will be seen this year! He had BIG Z taking allot of pressure off him & then Lebron that the other part. He just picked up the Garbage. also seeing him in the Olympics.please the guy is ok/very good. BUT we wont miss him.

I love all the pieces parts we picked up. Sure we are not ready for the title. BUT I think we are getting there! I think we will be in the Playoffs which is a Start [IMG]

If Shaq wasn't in the East now, we'd probably have a great shot at at least the conference finals.

On Clark, he'd be a decent pickup, but I'm still not sold that Diop is going to be a terrible player. He's shown flashes of defensive potential.

    Keon Doesn't Show in Cleveland

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Keon Clark didn't show up for a scheduled workout in Cleveland, ending his chances of signing with the Cavaliers.

The Cavs now have their sights on free agent center Scott Williams, who met with officials from the organization in Cleveland several days ago. Williams, 36, has been a backup forward and center for much of his career. Williams, 6-10 and 260 pounds, won three titles with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. Last season, Williams played in 43 games with the Suns and the Mavericks. </div>

I see they don't have a reason from Clark not showing up. I guess it doesn't matter now but it's to late now. Scott Williams eh, dag.

Ever since Clark left the Raptors it seems like he's just wandering around the league looking for a team that fits for him. The Cavs could have been a good team, but obviously he blew his chances.

I dont know if we will see Clark on any roster this season. He seems uninterested in basketball now. He has his mind focused on other thing it seems.
