<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mourning and the Nets are understandably cautious, particularly considering the physical pounding that comes with the center position.

But Blount believes Mourning will hold up, and he has a better idea than most. Blount spent much of the summer working out and scrimmaging with Mourning and other NBA players in Southern Florida. For the last couple offseasons, Mourning has been a mentor to Blount, but their workouts remain competitive.</div>

Good news for both the Nets and Celtics, IMO.

While I'm cautiously optimistic that Mourning can make a comeback and remain healthy, let's face facts: It's a long shot with bad odds.

However, the fact that Blount has been working against him in the off-season is reason for optimism for Celtics fans. A healthy Mourning is definetely someone we want Blount to be working against. They are like personalities in that they both work hard and want to help thier teams.

This news stays in line with what we already know about Blount. Him being ready and continuing to get better in the off-season can only bode well for the C's chances this season.

I meet Zo a couple of times when i lived in Miami honestly he is one of the best people you will ever have the chance to meet. I honestly am optimistic he can make a come back and hope he does. If he where to make a come back the depth of the Nets would improve a lot considering a healthy Mutombo is the type of guy who was second in all star voting last year and dominated the league so many years. Do I believe if he comes back he will be at the same level that was when he was healthy in his prime? Of course not. Do I hope he comes back and gets the chance to finish his career right? Of course.

Zo is one of the NBA or was one of the NBA's mark key guys in the early to late 90's. His legendary games with the Heat against the Knicks will never really be forgotten probably ranks up there with the Celtic Laker rivalry. With the NBA game changing with all these players coming in only worried abut money and all that stuff having Zo in the league again can only benefit the younger guys and the NBA in general.

As far as Blount goes he is definitely improving if he is hanging out and learning from Zo. Zo has the talent to be a great coach some day if he want to he is a good teacher and even if he is a bit past his prime his game still ranks up high in Eastern centers these days.
