The Sixers have a pretty deep bench, but who do you think will be the most productive off the bech for us. We have a young player like Andre Iguodala who could really be an energizer off the bench,he should give us a lot of momentum and defense, but will he produce statistically for us?Then there are players like Corliss Willaimson and Aaron Mckie who will come in and give leadership and should be able to contribue. But who can we depend on the most to help us out off the bench?
I believe that Coriliss Williamson will emerge as a true force for the team off of the bench although he will not have the brightest numbers out of the bench players (imo) his vertern experience and playoff experience will ultimately prove to be a big factor in the fact of how far the team will go in the playoffs this year. Added with the fact that he is returning the sixers team to there former glory of 2001 when the lights of players like Tyrone Hill, Mutombo, and George Lynch , Williamson is by far the Sixer that fits the "hard nosed defensive player" description the best. I believe him, Kenny, and Dalembert will eventually reach the level to compensate for those three players who where a big part of the 2001 playoff run.
I agree as well, the 6 man in the game will be a rotation just not one specific player. Are bench looks like it could be a starting lineup in the NBA but for a below .500 squad which is actually pretty good. Hopefully, the players will nicely recognize and fit into the specific roles that JO would like them to be in. Corliss Williamson - brings toughness and veteran leadership Andre Iguodala - hopefully will bring a defensive stop with some slashing ATR action Mark Jackson - with him and Corliss in the game - BEWARE! Aaron McKie - Leadership, Handling, and High Percentage 3pt percentage
I believe at this point our bench is filled with depth and no one man can be singled out as our sixth man yet. We will have to wait until the season starts and we see JO's stratigy and rotation before a rightful assumption of who will be the sixth man can be made. Considering all I have to go upon at this time is the past I will say Aron Mckie or Williamson will be our sixth man do to them both filling that roll the best in there career to this point. I think that Iggy although will be coming off the bench will be treated more as a starter than as a sixth man. Also I believe if healthy Marc Jackson will play a huge roll and may very well start a couple of games this year do to injuries or players being benched (most loikely injuries). Then I see John Salmons playing a huge factor this year and having a break out season. I dont know how big a roll Korver will have a intresting little FYI note I found do you believe that hoopshype.com has Korver ranked under Brown in our rotation.
