The article is mainly about the Bulls and Rockets trade. However, if the 4 player trade happens to go down, the Bulls will have 17 players under contract, and they may be looking to have Duhon play overseas. Despite, the expectations for Chris Duhon this may be the likely scenario.

Wow, I thought he would be the Bench PG and get good minutes off the bench but I guess he will be going overseas we did this with our picks last year, hope these players comeback better then they were before.

Whoa, wasnt expecting him to go overseas. Duhon's really good and a great passer but we need scoring on this team and thats probably why he's being shipped out for a year or two, but I can gaurantee it will be a Manu Ginobili scenario when he gets back, he'll be alot better and a lot of people/teams will want him.

While I have a hard time picturing a player like Duhon with such a high profile college career as well as just bball mind in general accepting a smaller roll to go over sea and wait to be called back I do think it would be the best thing for him and the bulls orginization.

Reason one for my belive is that while over seas one of the big thing they try to teach you is the fundamentals of the game. Duhon being a point guard with huge potential would benefit hugely from this experence as well as thefact he could work with people over there on improving his shot one of the biggest trade marks from players that come from over seas. People like Ginoblie who may shoot 41%, but the main reaosn is not because he is a bad shooter, but because he is not scarred to heave it up from half court, because to him what matters is the team winning not him having a perfect shooting percentage there for he takes shots he thinks will help the team not his stats.

Reason two is Ginobli him self when he was taken by the Spurs in the draft little was thought of him just basically another team over rating talent from over seas, but the Spurs sent him back over seas for one NBA season. He came back took a few games to adjust, but as soon as that happened proved he could play the NBA game and very well winning a NBA title his first season with the Spurs (officially anyway) and being named by sites like hoopshype.com the best player in the Olympics this year as he lead Argentina to there first ever gold medal.

Reason three being that if he plays a little while over seas when he comes back if Jay Williams has made his return yet the chances of him getting more minutes then Jay will increase do tot he fact Jay will have been coming back from a injury that kept him out nearly a year while Duhon has polished and shind his game over seas. Not to mention depending on how well Nocino (sp?) plays this season, and if Pippen retires a couple of roster spots may be open before Febuary so he may not have to spend that long of a time out there.

I already knew he was gonna play overseas. No surprise. He may be able to develop his game, mainly outside shooting. I see him back on the bulls next year, along with Mario Austin. He'll be a good backup for Chicago.

As of now, our depth chart looks like:

    PG-Kirk/Pargo/Gordon
    SG-Gordon/Pike/Griffin
    SF-Nocioni/Deng/Robinson
    PF-Tyson/Harrington/Davis
    C-Curry/Davis/Trybanski

Team has improved IMO, because now Curry's in shape, Kirk will improve, Tyson's been working out very hard this offseason, we had a great draft. I dont think we make the playoffs although, but look for us to win 29-33 games. I like this team.

This is a good move. Duhon wouldn't find any playing time on this roster anyway. Playing overseas is going to give him a lot of experience. He's going to learn a lot playing international ball. Duhon wouldn't get any experiance warming the bench the whole season. I think he is going to be very impressive when he comes back to the NBA if he plays overseas.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - In the land where diamonds are a relative bargain, the Rockets' attempt to mine an old-fashioned gem may have come up with a glitter.

"It's done," said Dikembe Mutombo. "I'm coming."

    PROPOSED TRADE
? Rockets acquire: C Dikembe Mutombo.
? Bulls acquire: G-F Eric Piatkowski, G-F Adrian Griffin, G Mike Wilks.

The 38-year-old former NBA All-Star confirmed that he has agreed to a trade with the Chicago Bulls that will bring him to Houston in exchange for Eric Piatkowski, Adrian Griffin and Mike Wilks. The Rockets will pick up the majority, if not all, of the money that is remaining on Griffin's contract.

The 7-2 Mutombo, currently attending the NBA's Basketball Without Borders-Africa outreach program, said he is excited about the prospect of joining Yao Ming on the front line in Houston.

"It is where I have wanted to be all along," Mutombo said Monday night. "I told them a long time ago that it was my wish, and I'm so happy that it was granted.

"I have already talked to (Rockets assistant coach) Patrick (Ewing) and several others, and I can't wait to get there."

Mutombo, a 13-year NBA veteran who has played for Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York, was obtained by the Bulls last month in a deal for guard Jamal Crawford but said he didn't want to stay in Chicago. He has averaged 11.7 points and 11.7 rebounds since becoming a first-round pick out of Georgetown in 1989.

What Mutombo will bring to the Rockets is a veteran who can spell Yao as backup center and provide a shot-blocking presence. He ranked 14th in the NBA in blocked shots last season with 1.89 per game.

"I think it is a perfect fit for me in Houston, to play alongside Yao Ming," Mutombo said. "I think we can have some kind of club."

Rockets general manager Carroll Dawson noted that the deal hasn't been finalized but said Mutombo is just the kind of player the team would like to have behind Yao. </div>

Looks like Duhon is going over seas for a little while does that mean Pargo is staying?

Hopefully, one of them deserves to stay. I was impressed by Pargo last year, he can be here as a 2nd or 3rd string backup, we could use him on key posessions when we need some scoring.
