As long as someone is not a bandwagoner, i'm cool with it. What i'm not cool with are all the bandwagon Lakers fans which are now bandwagon Heat fans, it seems like the only way you can't be labeled a bandwagon Heat fan is if you hate Shaq and don't like the trade. To all of you diehard and true lifelong Laker fans, I now know how you feel being surrounded by all the bandwagoners, ahhh.
True Laker Fans <div class="quote_poster">Quoting los:</div><div class="quote_post">A true Lakers fan STILL hates the bulls (and Jordan) for what they did to the Lakers. </div> a true Laker fan will argue to the death that Magic was the greatest player in the history of the game because he made every player he played with better and could play all five positions on the floor as well as finding another player for the winning shot if he didn't have it. Magic had more triple doubles than Jordan and Jordan may have been the greatest scorer, but was not the greatest player when compared with Magic or Larry Bird.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">I guess watching and supporting both LA teams wouldn't hurt at all, but perhaps if you liked watching the Kings too, then it'll definitely be a problem.</div> Now Emo if he roots for Both the Kings and Lakers, than that would be just plain pothetic
A true Laker fan doesn't quit on the team until the final buzzer...whether its Game 7 of the WCF and we're down by 20...or being down by 1 with 0.4 seconds left...or waning minutes of Game 5, 2004 Finals.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting whatthef?:</div><div class="quote_post">a true Laker fan will argue to the death that Magic was the greatest player in the history of the game because he made every player he played with better and could play all five positions on the floor as well as finding another player for the winning shot if he didn't have it. I didn't discover the NBA until 98 so I haven't seen Magic or Jordan play that much, except for short footage and stuff, but I always thought that Magic was a better player then MJ.
Being at Arco Arena in 2002 watching game 6 of the WCF on the big screen with my Laker gear on. After the Lakers pull out the close win, ready to fight anybody that had something to say about my team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting los:</div><div class="quote_post">A true Lakers fan STILL hates the bulls (and Jordan) for what they did to the Lakers. </div> That would be me.
Die Hard Laker fan does not quit on the team ot even after the final buzzer of a elimination game, a true laker fan does not dissappear for months after the lakers are eliminated and come back when things cool down, a true laker fan is a fan that does not care what other people think of him/her , and stick to there team , and holds there heads high, a true Laker fan is the best type of fan in the world. Now a bandwagon Laker fan gives true fans a bad name.
a true laker fan can blow his head off with a rfle and then get eaten by a cheeta..... no just kiddin a true laker fan is like any other true team fan. never gives up on his team and goes through good times and bad times with his team and no matter if the team gets a 0-82 season he will stick with them. a true team fan always thinks his players are the best ever. a true team player hates everyone who stops his teams way to glory and the ones who betray his team.true laker fans are not different then true sonics, pistons or even hawks fans they always stick together.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting elijahser:</div><div class="quote_post">a true laker fan can blow his head off with a rfle and then get eaten by a cheeta..... </div> dude...thats like freaky...... !!!! as with any team/sport, a true fan is always rooting for their team, wearing team colors even when the season is a total write off (I wore my Raiders hat every single day last season ...and cried a LOT in my tequila). a true fan can talk about the weaknesses and strengths of his team and not loose grasp on reality while doing it.
you notice that Jordon became great AFTER Magic and Bird retired, he was in the NBA for like 5 years and didnt do anything till they left. Jrdon woulnd't have been able to play center during his rookie year in a finals game like Magic did. Iw ould always watch Laker game when they were down by like 20 going into the 4th quarter knowing they would win and they did like 3 times
