<div class="quote_poster">Quoting hagrid:</div><div class="quote_post">If Karl Really wants to be a contributing piece and put a team in contention for a championship, then he should come to Boston.

The WOlves and Spurs don't need him to be in the running and I think he's gotten his fill of riding peoples coattails at this point. Malone is a prideful guy and tossing away everything he was last year to go to LA and not win one makes me think that he wants to end his career with some dignity, even if that means he doesn't win a championship.

There's nothing wrong with him going to SA or Minny. But I think Karl could make the C's a legit EC title contender and thus giving them a shot at the Finals, where his defense could play large against the typically bigger west.

Granted I"m not holding my breath, but the Celtics were the first team to contact Malone last year when he became a FA. He knows he wanted and more importantly, he knows he's needed, which is something he's not going to be in either SA or Minny.</div>

Boston? Sorry, but I dont see Malone moving that far East just to play a season more of basketball. Payton doesn't like it, I dont think Karl will either. Just my 2 cents.

Karl shoudl play wherever he darn well wants to play if they'll have him. He's a free agent and a solid player for chrise sake! Free agents leave old teams all the time.
