Rather, the offending party is yours truly. I suggested Davis was turning the corner from petulance to maturity when, to his credit or defense, Davis never unequivocally has said or indicated anything of the sort. Which is a good thing. Because that way, the Hornets' All-Star guard doesn't have to explain why the 2-year-old Baron keeps oozing from inside the 25-year-old Baron, throwing tantrums like he has been told he can't have any more candy or that a toy belongs to a playmate instead of him. </div> Full Story It seems like a lot of the top players nowadays are demanding a trade, so this wasn't really anything new. The writing does bring up a valid point though, which is leadership. Instead of sucking it up and playing basketball, he's wanting out without giving the situation a chance.

I disagree,he hasnt even demanded a trade yet first of all,and second this team isnt going anywhere,if you look at the Hornets roster and then look at their competition in the West, it doesnt look good for them. Baron isnt the kind of guy who is going to walk out on your franchise like Tracy Mcgrady did, but he is just looking out for himself here he doesnt want to be stuck on a team that he knows wont be able to compete in the West.

Here is my two cents on players that demand trades- They are full of themselves. They do not realize how good thye have it! They make millions of dollars every year, and they still complain. Shaq was complaining earlier this year because he didn't wanna be on a team where the GM doesn't want him... BS. He is just an old fart and he knows it. Even if hes the most dominate player in the NBA demanding a trade is disgusting in my eyes. I don't wanna soudn dumb but, there really are people out there that don't even have enough money for decent living... and it makes me sick to see that in real life then turn on ESPN and see these players making this much money say they cant get along with other people so they wanna leave... Im really sick of it. But, Baron never said personally he wanted a trade so I guess none of this applies to him.... for now...
I think the Hornets have a legitimate chance at landing the 8th seed in the Western Conference. They will surely be contending for it near the end of the season, along with a number of other teams who have a legitimate shot. Anyway, Baron never demanded a trade. It was actually his agent who approached him about exploring his options. Baron's agent told him that it would be in his best interest to get out of New Orleans. Baron went on to say that he trusts his agent. And now this has all been changed into something it's not with Baron "demanding" a trade. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">but this guy seems to be so injury prone it leaves you to wandering how long can he actually remain in the league.</div> Davis is not "injury prone". People don't realize that he played all 82 games during his first 3 seasons in the league. Only the last 2 seasons has he missed games with an injury (missed 32 in '03; and missed 15 in '04). That's 363 out of 410 regular season games (89%) he's played. Unless this current streak continues to outlast his first 3 seasons, only then can he be considered injury prone.
8th seed?... How is Mashburn doing? I don't catch that many NO games, but it seems ya'll are a lot better with Mashburn pumping in points. That's the key. Hate guys that demand a trade?... When ownership isn't putting a team out there, like Kidd in New Jersey, perhaps that's how Allen in Seattle feels, or TMac last year in Orlando, I think it's reasonable for a star player to want out. But I don't think that's the case in New Orleans.
Is Baron wrong? I mean seriously, he didn't demand a trade, but I think he's just trying to pressure the manegement to do something. The guy is talking about not giving this team a try first, it's pretty obvious they aren't going to make the playoffs with the current roster, and we could even say the roster is digressed from last year. They lost Augmon and Tractor and aren't going to resign Alexander, I don't see how Rodney Rogers and Chris Andersen are supposed to fill that. They should've gone after someone like Rodney White this whole time, and they should've re-signed Alexander. Unless J.R. Smith blows up or something, the team will only win about 35 games.
The Hornets are goiny no where fast, there is a good chance that Mash will retire and if he doesnt he probally wont be a big factor when he plays. Davis hasnt demanded anything yet,but his agent suggested to him that he should move on and look for a team that has a chance, because BD and Maglorie will not be able to compete in the West by themselves.
