i truely agree. I think the utah jazz will do very well this season. With thetre new aquisitions in Carlos boozer and Okur there defense intensity should be bulked up a bit in my opinion. and with a healthy Matt harpring i think this utah jazz could definately make the playoofss this season.
I don't think the Jazz will be an "exciting" team to watch. Arroyo, Giricek, Kirilenko, Boozer and Okur aren't exactly known for being on the highlight reels, and Deshawn Stevenson is no longer in the Jazz. However, they will be a good team, who are playoff bound.
What the heck does Jerry Sloan do to get so much out of his teams? I really admire him as a coach and competitor. Some of these lowly franchises like the Clippers, Warriors, Wizards, etc. could really use someone like him to get them to play the right way.

He's just a great coach, and he fits in perfectly for teams that aren't meant to be that good, with a whole lot of unproven players. He just demands all his players can give, and if they don't do that he will bench them, no matter who they are. And it works.

Sloan is truely an amazing coach, I personally think he should have gotten COY last season. I was one of 99% of NBA fans who thought the Jazz would be the worst team in the L. They should be much improved this season. Not an exciting team in terms of Sportscenter Highlight reels, but exciting for true fans who want to see a good team oriented game. By the way, how many of you are going to be watching the Utah @ Cleveland game? You should check out the Cavs forum, people over there are still ripped about Boozergate.
I love Sloan. He never got enough credit for the Malone/Stockton era, but now doing it again with a whole new group, hopefully people are starting to realize his genious. They will be great to watch. Although I can't stand Boozer and Okur is way overrater, I love watching AK play, he's one of the best.
yeah, AK's a pretty mean player. Remember when he had 2 games within a week or something with at least 5 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 blocks, and 5 steals, and only 2 or 3 players have done that in the last 40 or 50 years? And he did it twice in a week? Crazy.
Celtfan I hope you keep coming back and posting in the Jazz forum  . On AK47: I'm not to sure what to expect from him this season. Matt Harpring will be back, and that will take minutes away from him. Although he will become more productive with the experience he's gotten. Boozer will be getting a lot of rebounds, which may reduce the amount AK47 get's. He will still be blocking shots and getting steals though, that's for sure. He will be known as more of a defensive player than offensive though.
