<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Training camp starts in less than a month and the Hornets are still not sure if Jamal Mashburn will be able to participate because of his knee injury. The star forward has been unable to work out since re-injuring his knee last March. MRI tests are showing no improvement and the Hornets will not get league approval for a trade unless he passes. "I think we've got to look at all the possibilities, and we will lay them all out in front of us when he comes in, and we'll go from there," (Hornets? GM Allan) Bristow said. "I think it will all clear itself at the end." At this moment it is very unclear as to when Mashburn will play again.</div> <div align="center">Link </div> While, it's expected that he may miss training camp, the Hornets have been rumored to trade him. However, this will not be possible due to league disapproval of this. So, basically it all comes down to his injury. If he can't pass his physical, the league won't approve a trade. Trade or not, Mashburn is in horrible shape, and who knows what lies in his future. But from what's going on lately and the last couple season, his future is looking to bright. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he thinking about retirement a while ago?
He was considering retirement,I think Mash is going to retire in the end, these past few seasons he can never stay healthy. What I do remeber is that Mash had some bright times during the season,he hit a GW versus the Bulls I think,so who knows he might have the motivation to get healthy.
HE PLAYED 18 GAMES!!!!!!! He won another game against the bucks though and that bulls 1 well the hornets would have won anyway but mashburn played sloppy
