If today you had to start a franchise from scrap and you had the first pick in a "Fantasy Draft" among all the NFL teams who would you build your franchise around?
Yeah, but Manning chokes in big games. I'd have to go with Ray Lewis. The MLB is probably the most important position on defense, and Ray Lewis is the best MLB in the game right now.
It's a tough one. I think in starting a franchise you need a QB who is versitile and can win with substandard talent around him. Here's my list of who I would start with. 1. McNabb 2. Culpepper 3. Tom Brady 4. David Carr 5. Payton Manning 6. Byron Leftwich 7. Mike Vick I base my rankings on Age, ability to win with substandard talent, leadership, toughness, arm strength, elusiveness, mobility and personality.

I dont care if he was sick HE CHOKED! how do you pick McNabb over Brady, brady has mnore playoff exprience and 3 superbowls under his belt! 9-0 in the playoffs!
Brady does not have the ability to run the ball when all breaks down, McNabb and Culpepper do. Like I said, when you have an expansion team you need a QB that can win games using other means. If I had a more established team, I would pick Brady. It is close though.

So if you want to turn around a non-established team, why wouldnt you take brady?
Eagles were 3-13 the year before Reid took over, and were considered the worst team in the league. The only reason they had the No.2 pick overall is cause Browns were an expansion team. As a rookie I think he was 3-5 or something like that. Next year his first year as a starter he was 11-5. The Eagles have since then been 11-5; 11-5; 12-4; 12-4; 13-3. Not bad if you ask me. Sure winnig Super Bowl is an ultimate judge of success, so it's not that good either.
I got Vick on this one. He took a team with a losing record and made them a team with a winning record. He wins games, and I can only hope with more experience in WCO and just experience in general he will be one hell of a QB. Much like the Falcons did I would take that chance too. Now can BF1 refrain from making a slam on Vick? We'll see, probably not though. lol
Falcons have alot more going for them than just Vick. They had a great blocking scheme and 1-2 RB punch which resulted in the best running offence. The defence was also amazing. Very aggressive, resulting in alot of TO's. Vickhad some big games and didn't make too many huge mistakes, but I feel he was just a part of an amazing team effort. When I say great blocking scheme, I mean they were successful. I don't nessessarily condone cutblocking. Vick has alot of potential but I would never consider him a #1 pick yet.

Everything they do win or lose is done as a team. The question was about a specific player though so I did pick him because when he joined the Falcons he took that losing team and led them to finishing with a winning record. I give him credit for that, he just wins games. The D is great but I dont think our Offense was anything special, besides having DVD and Crumpler. A lot of improvements need to be made in the off-season so hopefully I can see the Falcons back in the NFC Championship again next year and this time making it that final step to the SB.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>I can see the Falcons in the Sper Bowl next year....if they trade for Kitna or sign Hasslebeck....</div> That would mean a resurgence from Peerless price, with someone to throw him the ball.
I would pick one of these three players 1. Ray Lewis 2. Ed Reed 3. Jamal Lewis hehe... all from the Ravens. Or try Ladainian Tomlinson!
