CELTICS TRIVIA hey guys check out the trivia on the celtics website. its pretty easy but i got 2 wrong tho.
Huh? One of the questions is, "Who was the first player to be drafted by the Celtics directly out of high school?" I answered K Perkins, and it told me that it is incorrect, the correct answer is Al Jefferson. What the???
The same thing happened to me, it said I got nine of ten correct and I got the one about Al Jefferson being the first ever rookie taken right out of high school by the Celtics, even though Perkins was.
The draft pick may have been originally owned by Memphis, but Kendrick Perkins was drafted by the Celtics. Celtics.com was wrong on this one. Memphis did not draft him for us, in a trade and swap. He was drafted by the C's.

Banks and Perkins were drafted by Memphis and then traded to the celtics. celtics.com is not wrong- you are. what does it matter that memphis intended to trade them? they were still officially drafted by the grizzlies!!
You are technically correct. Regardless of what's commonly known as part of a pre-draft deal, technically Memphis drafted Perkins, along with Banks. Celtics.com may split hairs on this one, but I won't. Those who actually knew what was going on with the draft, knew Perkins was our property, but from a technical standpoint, Celtics.com is correct, even if it's not real world correct.
it was a trick question hags, it got me too (the only one mind you) and since we are splitting hairs, draft day deals are typically agreed to in principle and don't actually go through for a few days Perk was the first C to play right out of HS, but technically hair-splitting, he was drafted by the Griz. so once again Jerry West gets under our skin - blame him!
9/10 here, i did the trivia b4 i looked here knowing that it really was Al Jefferson, i picked Perkins
