I can't believe the US actually has a cricket team, much less that they got to the finals.

Could we get some runs-per-capita stats, just for a laugh? [IMG]

Gotta love the typical American "playing dumb" attitude to hide their utter embarassment.

"Duh, I dunno we done had a cricket team?"

Surely you can recognise that a higher total usually wins a game of sport?

I could actually see cricket catching on in the US (in the future) people won't like this statement but the rules and the lack of excitment is no different to baseball, a sport in which so many people love all around america.

Well, in baseball terms, if Team A has five home runs in seven innings, and Team B has seven home runs in five innings, is Team A doing better just because they had more innings?

Correct. The 5-day version of the game only really caters to purists, but the 1-day version (consisting of 50 overs per innings), is a good night out particularly if it's good teams on the park. The game takes about 6-hours all up. How is that in comparison to a baseball game?

I think an advantage that cricket holds over baseball is that the bowlers (equivalent of pitchers) aren't simply lambs to the slaughter, and I'd argue there's also more spectacular fielding.
